Nobody here seems to address the most important point of both shows: the monsters themselves.

Pokemon is leagues ahead of digimon in that regard. Digimon all just look cool and edgy, while Pokemon actually have a certain role within the ecosystem.

While I'm saying this, I really hope they make a WiiU Pokemon Snap which lets you explore that ecosystem in greater detail, shit has so much potential.

I like both but am I the only one who thinks all the examples you have look exactly the same?

They look the same because those specific digimon are the royal knights. Digimon has a much better storyline than pokemon. Pokemon is mainly about Ash and his friend tryings to get stronger and beat gym leaders. Digimon is about Hostile digimon trying to rule and kill off anyone standing in their way and they use other digimon to help fight their wars etc.

XD well, omnimon black is the black version of omnimon....hes one of the royal knight...and digitate from metalgarurumon AND Wargreymon...Imperialdramon is the founder of the royal knights XD (wow, my digimon knowleadge isnt really rusty XD)

Anime storyline isn't the real pokemon storyline. The games are the original story.
