I am assuming that the player on the left started with 50k gold 50k mana. No mana is gone currently and there is 1250 gold gone. Only 8 visible units deployed which equal 20 population. I am guessing that the water elementals are 2 population and the fire elementals are 3 population. If there are the default two miners out it places both units at two population. Now onto cost, since 1250 gold is gone we can assume that they don't cost any mana and between those 4 fires and 4 waters it costs 1250 gold.

Also, as you can see from the "miners" button under the attack button, elementals use miners like order and chaos to gather resources
