Well I'm no moderator of the place. Nor will any of us other users will be able to host it either. Kursura won V4 of the BSE and most of us thought he would host it. But apparently, mainly moderators and admins of Stickpage host it. So I wouldn't host it as much as I wanted to.

And I am not solely titling BSE as pure BS. The way how things are brought up and being argued about are BS in terms of how many participants are still willing to do these rounds and the creativity/limitation factor. Not to mention specials ideas.

lol yun I was being sarcastic. I was basically implying that you quit despite whatever reason and still you hold onto these feelings that everything you believe in has changed but you don't expect to do anything other than reject and whine about the idea altogether instead of giving back to the community and doing what everyone around you is doing: compromise. I was implying that, like Arch was saying before, you should run a bse of your own if you are not satisfied with the hard work that cami is trying to implement. There is no rule saying that you can't and hey, you get to do the very things you want.

Otherwise, stfu and let the thing run its natural course.

I honestly don't understand the whole argument here. If you guys can't handle this round I wonder how the next few rounds will be for you...
This is round is actually something I'm excited about and look forward to seeing from different animators. But it looks like everyone's just close to giving up their entries :/

Sorry if I use this .gif a bunch of times, but I'm just agreeing to valid points. I don't see what's the big deal with this element, just be creative about it! If you guys are really stuck on something, find something that might inspire you! If you can't handle it, then just skip it. No need to bicker about it, this is obviously Camila and Tsang's first time hosting a huge event like this, and it shows that they are trying to think up inventive themes for each round. If they do underwater, think outside the box! How would you incorporate your fight UNDER FREAKIN' WATER!? No round has a water theme, and I'm dying to see it.

Guys... it'll not get "harder" than this each round. I'll only make you all suffer 5 out of 10 rounds so you can all comeback for happy high scores and "easy" special elements once in a while.

[ Well I am the type of person who doesn't notice sarcasm through text so easily unless it's completely exaggerated. ]

Also, I am being so bitchy about the BSE because I want things to be fair and less stressful. I'm the type of person who cares not for his own personal feelings or perspective. I talked to Camila several times already and I've been ranting about it here for a while. Few people understand what I say and others feel like it's fine how it is. But when you compare Round 1 to this Round, the vast difference in the amount of parts just went from over 30 parts down to just 3 valid ones. That's literally 27 animators who either dropped out, aren't finished, or quit because of a special that limited us way too much to the point where it's not gonna look right at the end. If this goes on through the whole other rounds, what do you think this will look like by Round 5?

Think about it. That major difference is just concerning. Even if those very few people MIGHT make it through and actually make themselves professionals, what about the rest of us? Either we've been let down by time and life or we just didn't care. With the starting of BSE on a school-heavy timeline, pretty much a lot of us want to just drop out.

I am here to carry on this competition, just been real focus since the last round ended nevertheless I think that there are a few people that are still doing their entries. I am not really going to complain about this BSE to be honest because I am training myself to become better, I respect that people don't have time to really focus on the BSE because they have other things to do in general of course *including me but I have handled my time more effectively getting along with college work and health I feel that for people who is busy with their life can do the same.

My opinion about BSE is that it helps me improve and understands elements which can be useful for future events and work even the less experience can do it because they are improving to become better, I think it will help learn and understand about movements and that you can understand the situations, although some people may not understand about the combo and element but you have to think hard and not question things where the answer is right in front of you.

No one should be arguing or brag about this, it is here to stay till the new round is up and If anyone feels this is too hard then you need to try harder because it is possible to make this combo, anyone can do it, make unique idea that can make your entry interesting, the floor doesn't have to be boiling hot, it just has to be hot for your character to feel it, the due date is due on the 15th if you haven't finished or started to do so, I would recommend that you finish it as soon as possible or use to opportunity to finish off work and things that would get in your way.

I want to improve on my animation because I feel I can get better, I always thought of myself I will create this when I am very good at it but never would create it as I was back then, I want to become better at animation because it can helps me benefit and add extra work in my portfolio, I know that many animators in this forums may want to become a professional animator or graphic designers but for me I am not here to play about or goof off, I am here to improve on my skills whatever it is stick men, sprites or full body I would understand how it can be made and how it would present my work.

I am not professional or very good yet but If I work really hard like this... I will get there eventually.

Mind my grammar *may contain a lot of mistakes.

I find your question irrelevant. But if you insist.

Tsang came up with the special element combo and due date for this round. Does that answer your question?, or you meant something else?.

yh thats it, cool thx

And please god no, not underwater fuck that shit lol.
I say it's easier said than done so all I ask is no friggin' underwater shenanigans for the next element, eurgh.

The round isn't over just yet, the amount of entries submitted is still inconclusive.
It's anyone's guess.

Underwater is very similar to zero gravity, which was done in BSE V4. I wouldn't find it very difficult either.

It's been stated in BSE V1, the beginning of it all, that BSE is of course an improvement-based thing where anyone who enters improves their skills based on thinking and execution. Of course I know that BSE will help you in ways that can help you think of many solutions. Of course some people brag about having the ability to think of something much more creative than the other and people do argue about BSE rounds and judging process. But you're not getting my point.

I want as many people, not those selected few who can, make it through the entire thing. Not just have the mindset of actually making SOME impact. BSE should be a MAJOR impact, where the goals, brainstorming of individual rounds, and picking the judges are come to a full feasible agreement through other people instead of just the moderators, admins, and/or etc. BSE V4 had some of us help out oxob3000 think of some new ideas for some rounds and combos as well. And these combos weren't too crazy or blank. Nor were the specials too limiting or pointless. If BSE were to actually take this kind of action into its own, then BSE can have way more people actually trying to improving.

Don't force major strides. It takes baby steps.

Also, I wanted to know if I can add things in between the combos.
For example, in between the last bone breaker and bodyslam, can I do a throw or something, or do I have to strictly stick to the combo given?

Unfortunately you need to stick with the combo given, otherwise your final score will be affected.
