Practice, my good friend! I recommend looking at pictures of basic swords on the internet, then learn the basic features, the key is mostly being observant ad creative....I think :P

Pretty much. Just trace shit, learn the basic shapes, remake those basic shapes WITHOUT tracing as best you can. As you get better, change the shapes and add onto them. At least, that's how I got where I am.

Thank you, one last question. Do you guys all use tablets? I use mouse, but I want to know if it will really be that much of a disability on my art.

some of us don't, I can't use this phone to show any example of mine, since the wifi filters most sites, look st my RHG page, my swords kinda show a little improvement on the way :P

EDIT: Also depends with what you're comfortable with, I could probably get the same results with both, but I prefer tablet wince I can work faster with it ;)

I've used the pencil tool for some stuff weapon-wise, so having tablet helped me out some times before, but mostly the whole "working faster" thing :P
