I found the videos VERY hard to understand. I tried learning it by myself but I failed massively. I'll see Hyun's soon.

You do realize that all functions in the flash series are very alike, but with slight changes each version?
I havent tried one yet, but all I know is that.
Another answer is to experiment or just hack around cs3 so that you'll get used to it.

Videos don't help that much. It's either that I don't understand, too fast, or it has very bad quality. I need someone like a mentor.

Though I can't teach you in real time but I'll do what I can. Also, I can't always be there so you might want a secondary mentor.

Woot! I've asked SERATHIL to mentor me, too. Anyways, I have made my first animation! It's an animation of a guy punching a guy and when the guy punches the guy and there's blood. That's all. It's the WORST animation ever but it's a good start.

Resizing is something which you'll get learn to avoid with practice. It's not something which can be taught.

Mmmmm. Currently, I'm making random animations with the hope of my skills improving every time I make a new one.

EDIT: Darn it! So hard to avoid resizing! Any tips?

Make guidelines. Draw an initial pose of a stick guy standing. Make a new layer and draw three very thin horizontal lines, each passing through the bottom of the feet, the conjunction of the torso and legs, and the top of the head. Lock this layer and animate. Delete it afterwards, or just set the layer type to "guide." This should help you get the sizes of the body parts consistent.

Or display grids. Grids are a good way of keeping track of the sizes of the body parts.

Thanks, Smile! By the way, I have another question. How do we get the stickpage preloader? I want to make a new demo for my RHG. Also, how do you put the preloader into the animation? Sorry for the stupid questions but I'm just a flash noob.
