Would anyone wanna change this to the League of Legends Thread instead of what it is now? Quite a bit of chat goes on about this game in the Chat Thread.

That said, I'd like to post a little guide on increasing your average minion farm per game for Jutsu and others to read, since I cant seem to catch him in game.

Ahem:
Minion farm is your largest source of gold income during lane phase, unless you find yourself getting five kills before the enemy's tower is down. Because of this, lots of people will sacrifice minion farm and instead play very aggressively and hope that they grab some kills. What I'm going to try and show you is how to keep a consistently high CS score and still keep the door open for some early kills, followed by rampant snowballing.
For every wave of creeps you farm perfectly, you get 105 gold. 145 if there's a Seige minion. For the first kill on an enemy, you gain 300 gold. This means that every three minion waves farmed perfectly, you've essentially killed a champion for maximum gold. Creep waves spawn every 30 seconds--- this means you're getting a kill every 1:30 minutes by learning to farm perfectly. This is a far less dangerous and much more stable source of gold. But you should always go for the kill if you know you can kill your opponent without:
-dying yourself. Never, nneevveerr suicide to kill your opponent (followed by a "w0rth" typed in all chat). Your opponent becomes just as strong as you do, but you miss out on precious exp and CS.
Anyways, here's a few tips on minion farming reliably.
1. Learn to last hit. This is where you do not attack minions unless you're doing the killing blow. (This is the best way to farm because it leaves you open for opportunities to harass your opponent) Open up a custom game (Go to Play, and instead of PvP or Co-op Vs. AI, select Custom) and start a game by yourself on Howling Abyss. Repeat until you can last hit reliably with your champ without the help of runes.
2. Invest in a couple of armor pen runes (optional). This goes through the few points of armor minions have, and you can wait until a creep has the same health as your Attack Damage before hitting.
3. Use your Skills to hit minions you would have missed with your basic attacks. But don't use them simply to lower minions' health, or you'll run out of mana faster than octo-mom ran out of milk in her breastly reservoirs. Don't use an escape skill on minions either, or you might see Lee Sin's blind ass coming for you from the Jungle the second you use it.
4. When farming minions under the tower, always remember the golden rules: The tower always attacks the closest Siege Minions first, Melee second, and Casters third. Also, Melee minions take two tower hits before leaving the perfect amount of hp to finish them off. Casters only take one. Siege minions are trickier, consider using a skill for it.
5. Never attack the minion that most of your creeps are focusing on. It'll die before you can attack it for the finishing blow.
6. Watch the bolts of your caster minions. They do noticeable damage, and if you see that after a wave of Caster attacks the creep will have low enough health to last hit it, then you can send an attack closely behind theirs.

Meanwhile, what about your enemy?
In lane, there are two "stances" you can take. The CSing stance, which is where you are behind your minions and only approaching to kill a creep, and the Trading stance, where you stand in front of your creeps. The trading stance is handy because of this: all champions have a attack animation that must be completed to perform their attack. While this is happening, you can attack them and they can't do shit about it, unless they want to miss their CS (which is awesome). If they do attack you after, you have the advantage and its likely you'll come out ahead in damage dealt, making the enemy have to go back and miss farm, or stick around and continue to get harassed and then killed by you.
Just keep in mind. When you basic attack a champion, the enemy minions start attacking you.

Killing an enemy isn't done all at once in the beginning. It happens in stages (while farming is going on, mind you). There's the Harassing stage that I explained a little, the Trading stage where one or both of you decide to engage and use your skills to deal extra damage on each other (Also, always plan your Trades in advance before attacking your enemy), and the Kill Secure stage where you continue to harass your opponent until he's low enough for you to kill quickly and without dying yourself. It can't go any faster than that unless you're fed enough to skip the Harassing stage and go straight to Kill Securing.

Minion farming is always more important though. Really good League players aim to reach 180 CS by 20 minutes, which is totally doable. But if you're newer to the game, try reaching smaller milestones first, and then slowly raise the bar. Go from 60 CS by 15 minutes, to 80, to 100. Then go for 140 by 20 minutes, to 160, to 180.

I just wrote an essay about League instead of doing the essay I should be working on right now. Go me!

Seriously? Bumping a dead thread that for all intents has been pushed down to the bowels of General Discussion hell, just to turn it into a vaguely relevant discussion thread? Why bother. Why not make a thread in of itself.

I fully agree with Devour, I'll change this to the LoL chat.

Also i. Addition to what devour says, specially in early game, don't rush the creeps, just last hit them, because of 3 important reasons:

1- You make sure that you get the gold for the minion

2- You won't push the lane, the fact that you're last hitting the minions leaves he lane balanced and ready for a gank from your jungler if he's planning to.

3- If you push the lane really hard, you'll give your enemy free under-turret farm, and he might end up getting more exp qjd gold than you do, it also gives HIM the opportinity to gank you.

Have this and Devour's post in consideration when you're in lane.

Edit: Hewitt we do need a thread only for LoL discussions they mostly take a while and is a game that requires a lot of discussion, and instead of making a thread we can just change the name of this one.

I guess I could have made a new thread, but its like you said. I didn't want to make a new one when there was this thread already and there's not much chat about League anyways. Besides, I've heard a million times that it's not necromancy if the post you bump an old thread with is filled with good content.

I always rush the first wave. Only the first. If I get to be level 2 before my opponent it's incredibly easy to zone them. Especially with a champ that gets a huge power-spike at level 2 like Leblanc (my fav champ).
If you're playing a ranged champion top like Jayce or even Teemo and you're playing against a melee champion that can't farm under his tower. Pushing the wave can actually come in very handy.

I didn't even know this thread existed until you decided to cast Raise Dead tbh. But yeah, I never bothered to read exactly what this thread was about until you bumped it. Sorry.

Ah, man. I wish I saw this before I sent that PM at you Hewitt. I hope you know you don't have to reply to it and that all is forgiven.

What's a good build for Kat? Right now I'm just focusing on three main items: Deathfire Grasp, Rabbadon's, and Liandrys.
Occasionally buy Sorcerer Shoes. I start out with the Amplifying Tome.
