Yep. I've played league since season 1. After season 3 I stopped playing for fun, but only to gain tiers. At the end I only ended up mad, every match was a nerve attack, and slowly I started losing interest in the game. At the end of season 3 I was completely bored with the game. Currently I have no irl friends who still play the game.

It seemed like Riot were putting all their money in Esports rather than tring to improve the game. Yes, they were listening to the community and were trying to improve the experience, however, it didn't really work. It felt like playing the same level of a super mario game for 4 years. Well wasted time, #wurf.

You make it sound like the more money they make, the worse the game becomes? I don't really think money has a correlation with how they change the balance of the game lol.. like I'm sure they made a ton more money in S2 than S1 as it jumped in popularity over those years lol. Literally the game's popularity has grown exponentially through seasons 1 through 3, so it just doesn't make sense that they made less money in between. If anything, they've been making more and more money each year until they reach a plateau which I think it's slowing down, but hasn't plateaued yet.

Most people like the current meta though, a wide variety of champions are viable which were once considered weak.. and no one likes change once they've already gotten comfortable to something, but once you get used to it, it's really not that bad and you start to see why certain things were changed that way and Riot's been listening to the community a lot and trying their best to make everything good.. Sure they make mistakes, but overall I think they're doing a good job. I don't really see how the people who thought up that idea made the correlation between making money = worse game though lol.... If anything, if the game gets worse, they'll lose popularity and make less money lol.

Not only that, but they've really done a lot.. They're reworking and redesigning champs at a really fast rate, Introducing new quality champions, the quality of the skins are way higher than what they used to be.. They redesigned the entire map... This isn't like one of those games where you just rehash everything you have cause it's easier so you can still make a ton of money or the ones where you have to pay more for additional expansions, etc.. League is always the same in terms of the way they make money (through buying champs and skin and stuff). So changing the aesthetic or changing the balance of the game has nothing to do with money lol... in the way that post was described at least
