ok, at first....HOLY O_O Just how much free time you got, Go O_O
Ok, and the second one: I personally would already ban GH cause of its colour >_< lol...it really hurts :( another thing would be that players using forest theme and and robin hood (especialy robind hood O_O) would get a colour advantage...ok, that sounds a little bit too dumb, but it is imo true.
Oh and, if we dont only want to ban maps, plz ban bombers ^_^ they are so.....annoying O_O

Just no. I would ban GH because battles always go over 7 minutes and often go up to like, 15 or so. Also, learn to split SGC...bombers actually aren't that powerful (they are great for game-changers). OvC short map would be completely screwed up without bombers, Chaos in my experience are almost "stalling" with crawlers/bombers until they can get those T2 units out.
Shadow, if you're staring at the pretty colours of a map and complaining instead of actually playing the game, there's a problem with your game.

Wouldn't it make sense to make these rules a newbie (Be it clan or player) friendly as possible?
To prevent experienced clans from stomping casual clans?

They are actually. The whole idea is to make it fair for everyone.
I'd also like to make a move to ban swamp and h'ween. I know I always strike those two maps, because miner resources don't defend beyond the furthest gold row and the distance between bases doesn't allow for appropriate mid game room. It's very start oriented. I know many people strike these stays as well almost automatically, but I'd like to hear some feedback on this.

That narrows it down far to much.Honestly if you wana make it fair to smaller clans then the larger clans shouldnt use the top guys all the time. if it can be work out within the larger clans to use there less skilled players i think that would work out better. But that up to the larger clans mhm ;)

But if we want to win, we'll use our best guys, right? There's also sometimes a restriction of under 2k prep, which makes fair-ish to smaller clans.

It doesn't seem that way but okay.
But here's a complicated way of deciding things
- A random map would be chosen in advance, allowing Clan Members To pick their best members suited for that map.
- Empires could be clan wide, every clan as their own individual clan (Example: Elements Reborn are all going to play as The Elementals)
- The Total rank (Adding up all of the ranks of the equivalent [Mean if a Clan of 4 members goes up against a Clan of 20, the 4 highest ranked people will be added up, against the 4 member clan's total rank] amount of members) to prevent a Clan that is ranked 2000 below a High ranked clan from winning on a fluke (And taking their spot as the Best Clan).
To clarify, to prevent low ranked clans (Be it Alt. accounts or even just a lucky fluke win) from being matched with favored, experienced clans. Or even beating them with fluke wins, or low Ranked Alts.
- 3 unbiased 3rd party judges will judge the replay to determine the actual victor, just destroying the statue is prime for Dark Side tactics. They could be ranked on Sportsmanship, Tactics, and things of the sort.
Opinions?

"Dark side tactics"
what
If they cheated, they cheated. But currently, as long as someone isn't winning through some external means it's not bad. If you got spearton rushed or giant massed that would be your own fault.
And, any win is a win. Whether or not it was a "fluke" or not.
Empires clan wide? Where would that leave people without membership? Either you would have to exclude those without it or always use order. That leaves little room for variety.

How about just using one, consistent map?

Quote from funnyfingerson my old rts game when pros played they used the most balanced map for all the factions if you want it balanced I would suggest then only using one map ,ice ,seems to be the most balanced
already suggested ^^^^^

I think now we should reconsider that option. There'd no going back and forth, and there should be no complaints if all clans agree to it. We should pick a map that players think is the most balanced... Using POLLS.

Oh dear, I thought everyone here played Worms...
Oh well Dark Side tactics are shaddy, unsportsmanlike and relatively exploited tactics, this includes (But is not limited to):
- Early Swordwrath rush, just running for the tower or even just going after a players miners, just to end the game quickly
- Early DM rush, rushing in DM with a giant, Meric, 3 Swordwrath and a Magikill.
- Tower Spawn Rush, just rushing for the tower and buying Tower Spawn as early as possible.
And things of the like, the ruin the fun for the players and exploit the game's balance issues. If we want to keep this about having fun, the rushes and masses tactics aren't fun and also rely on little skill (The game is very hands off as it is).
Fluke wins are basically getting hustled (By low ranked Alts. where you try to go easy on them and they pull a fast one on you. Or just an underhanded tactic that was kind of cheap.
I agree with your last point, but still if a clan wants all it's members to play on a specific empire, the choice should be theirs to make, if it wants to exclude members without membership it's their choice.
But honestly, we need to choose if we want everyone to think that ever clan in SE is the SE equivalent to FaZe, or that clans serve no purpose other then being groups of people that enjoy the same game.
Right now it seems like the first one.

Swords, Tower spawn, mages and giants are hardly imbalances with the game my man, nor are they exploits in any way...
If you had lost to any of those it is indeed your own fault.
If you "went easy" on "a low ranked alt" then that is your own fault for sandbagging.
