The first one, I wanted to play with a friend.
And I went for just a regular ol' tanky build; Lightening Zweihander with Giants Armour and the Eagle Shield. Just a general sunbro PVE build.

I'll say now and be crucified later:

I did not like Dark Souls.

I just found the Archers at (SPOILERS-ish) Anor Londo too annoying and many of the bosses (Like the Stray Demon) have movesets that are just bad.

I still have 100 hours into it though...

I've also been playing a lot of Kerbal Space Program (Mod the living hell out of it though, stock is horrible), I've had a lot of fun messing with the physics on it. The forums actually have a thread dedicated to and I quote: "Prodding the Kraken" (If you've played the game you know what that means).

But the move to curse is kinda putting me off, a lot of people on the forum say it's horrible, malware ridden mess but a lot of them are reportedly false, but I lack in a security system for the time being so I'm not taking any chances.

Running With Rifles is amazing, but it's % to kill chance is quite annoying. But I'm getting better at it, multiplayer is just insanely fun (SAS in particular).

Luftrausers is beyond words.

FTL Faster Than Light is, without a doubt my game of 3 years. The soundtrack, the universe, THE MODS, the gameplay.

Gunpoint is fantastic, it's funny, it's story is both silly and gritty, the gameplay is phenomenal, it's new and fun and it has a level editor. The interface is easy to understand and the mechanics are explained as you need them, it's a great puzzle game. The story has dialogue and multiple endings to each questline, it has an RPG upgrade system to match all of that.

Maybe the second dark souls could be improved, but the first one was perfect. Any time you died, it was YOUR fault for being impatient or just being plain ignorant of your surroundings. First time I met the hellkite drake, I shat so many bricks I could have made a second house. lol

Except the bed of Chaos, that was just fucking dumb. And tomb of the giants come to think of it...and the stray demon, there's no way you could possibly predict that one coming...and any time you get invaded.

Bed of chaos was the only failure really. Tomb of giants did a perfect job of forcing you to abandon turtling behind a shield like a pussy. As for the stray demon, you can see it before you leave the asylum. So you KNOW you'll need to come back to kill it.

Not really.

And I have to admit, I'm really feeling the "Artificial Difficulty" of Dark Souls, they certainly could have handled it better, or at least be a little more steady in the difficulty rise.

Blighttown was crappy, how that got through playtesting without some serious design changes is beyond me.

Capra Demon could be skipped, no complaints.

Quelaag should have stayed a CQC boss, the AoE attack was cheap and forced grinding for a higher Vitality level.

Anor Londo archers were just awful, just bad and poorly handled.

Gaping Dragon was trivial at best.

Taurus Demon was a bit problematic for Strength builds.

Iron Golem was a bit bad for having to spend an hour making a trip through Sen's Fortress, but Tarkus was there to make the boss trivial.

Pinwheel was anti-climatic for the difficulty of the Catacombs and Tomb of Giants.

With all due respect, I have, along with many others been able to do a SL1 run with little to no trouble. As for pinwheel. C'mon!! You gotta love the joke boss pincushion :3

So you know the floor is gonna cave in as soon as you step into the asylum and instantly take off half your health?

Well the Taurus demon you just spam with firebombs, there's a bonfire near the iron golem boss if you look hard enough (at youtube tutorials *cough cough*) and Blight-town is pretty subjective; I like the how it's all designed like a hellish, maddening maze, but then again I'm a masochist...
Everything else I agree with.
