It gets really repetitive around the climax. But if you're one for humorous dialogue, easy gameplay, and a puns galore, you'll love it. Of course, being the social deviant around here, I recommend Saints row 4, or metal gear rising. Both are a fun mix of badass moments, witty puns, and an engaging storyline.

Saints row 4 seemed too fanbait for me.. preferred SR the Third. But, metal gear rising is definitely a god amongst men for hack and slash. I enjoyed every moment of that! Raiden > Snake. Just sayin'

Oh hell yes, finally someone who agrees. Raiden is so hot. I read fanfics of him everyday. But jack the ripper is soooooo much hotter.

I got into this game called Earthbound. I tested the game out on the emulator and I really like it.
I just wish the franchise was more popular in the USA.
Any of you guys played the game?

Quote from CookieI recommend Saints row 4
No. Saints Row 4 is nothing but a Saints Row 3 DLC. Literally, you can achieve powers like SR4 by getting a mod in SR3 to replicate the results and it would be the same.
SR4 also removes alot of the fun aspects of a sandbox game. It attempts to put Prototype/Infamous powers in a GTA setting. For example, what is now the point of driving and stealing cars when you can move LIGHTNING FAST and can parkour over buildings in a single bound. What is now the point of calling your stupidly-scripted homies to fight for you when your lightning powaz can do it in 5 seconds flat.
Combat is also easy as fuck, giving the aliens you fight a no-challenge whatsoever.
And the really stupid part is in every other game your health regenerates. In SR4, the ONE game where you have superpowers and godlike abilities, you DONT regenerate. What. You have to rely on picking up health from fallen enemies that you can just kill in seconds...

Earthbound is kewl. You should play it along with the sequels and the Fan-Translated Mother 3. Then I hear there's tons of fan sequels from there.
Anyways I just finished playing AC: Revelations. I know its the weakest of the Ezio trilogy, but I love it. I keep hearing and reading that AC3 is kind of a step down and a throwback to AC1, and that AC4 slightly improves but "pirates aren't assassins". Can someone offer an overview of what I'm going to expect in comparison to the rest of the series?

AC3 and AC4 are terrible. Everything Revelations and before were awesome, 3 and 4 are just trying too many new things.
The story is terrible in them too.

AC4 was pretty fun. As an AC game, that's put up to question.

Yeah I've been hearing about how Kenway isn't really the most likeable protagonist, but then again Ezio is a tough act to follow. I've pretty much given up on the Modern Storyline at this point so I don't really care about story per se unless it is not going to be TWTCB-related. I'm playing AC3 either way because I already have it, I just wanted to get some presumptions out of the way.

Yeah I can see AC is starting to become an artifact title. But I keep telling myself that maybe Assassins did exist in Colonial Times but not in the context of the traditional Assassin that we've come to know and love and this could be a unique opportunity to show it. I actually told my brother that they should've just called AC 3 the Native American's Promise and AC4 the Bucaneer's Oath.
Either way, I'm going to lose it if the 5th Assassin doesnt even remotely act or look like one. I'm a little optimistic because it's the French Revolution and that certainly leans towards subterfuge than Colonial British/America

Actually I've already beaten Mother 3. I gotta hand it to them for making a full English translated game. The game is amazing.
And actually, some people are planning on making a Mother 4. It's on this website down here.

It looks like they put a lot of time into it.
And apparently in an interview with the Earthbound creator Shigisato Itoi, he was perfectly fine with someone else continuing the the series.
So I definitely wish those guys the best of luck, and hope their project becomes successful.

There's actually tons of "Mother 4" games lying around. Ever since Mother 3, fans have been keeping the legend alive.
This one is actually finished

I haven't had the patience or time to pick up many RPG's, and Earthbound is one of them. I've started playing it, I just haven't revisited it yet. I'm still trying to finish Bravely Default. Damn good game btw.
