Honorary members are like a reserve member so that if one member leaves this clan or there's a vacant spot he/she can fill that spot automatically (Correct me if I'm wrong :3)

^ Also if the honorary member approves that he fill in the position (Like when you requested 2 of your honorary members to take the spot of Jobet when he left) and also if the honorary member doesn't have a clan for now that is
