Here are the 5 best strategies for DM and normal.
Normal:
1. Get 2 swordwrath, 1 miner. Attack enemy miners and cripple their economy.
2. Instantly gather mana. Get 1 spearton. Attack miners and then statue immediately.
3. Immediately buy 1 archidon, 1 swordwrath and attack when trained.
4. 4 swordwraths, full out attack.
5. 1 swordwrath after another to keep miners garrisoned.
DM:
1. Train 4 shadowrath with shinobi 2, kill miners in 1 hit and destroy statue.
2. Repeat step 1, but with Flying Archidons and blazing bolts.
3. Train 1 magikill with spells, giant with growth 1, 2 speartons and attack.
4. Get A BUNCH of swordwraths, and rage the statue. It will fall in less than 10 seconds.
5.Get 14+ speartons, go for statue, and have two passive ones in shield wall to divert enemy attention.

If you have more suggestions, leave a reply.

One suggestion: Prepare for a world of hurt from the pros who prowl around here. They hate it when anyone posts strategies that can be countered.

So, I'll try to save you the pain of being ridiculed by stickman by doing the job myself.

First of all, both of your first steps in both strategies can be countered.

Normal match first step, countered: Kiting archer (hit, retreat, reload while retreating, hit, retreat... et.c.), or castle archer, or sword-archer (kiting archer + a meat shield) (although, with some skill on your part, sword mass can beat sword-archer.)

Deathmatch first step, countered: Quickly built armies are the emphasis in DM. Building a mass is unadvisable. (E.G., if I build one of every unit while you build 4 shadows, it will take me 40 seconds to complete my army while yours will take 22 x 4 = 88 seconds, so I will be attacking you with a giant, an allbow, a mage, a meric, and a spearton while you have 3 shadows out, the third one considering it takes my army time to travel across the map. You won't be able to pull it off without insane turtling skills, and even then it's probably a matter of time before the enemy gets the upper hand.)

Finally, some advice: Don't let the people on the forums discourage you. You'll be seeing (figuratively speaking) a lot of 2000+ players who don't have the patience to explain why your strategies don't work at their level, and who will probably be a lot more blunt with you. They aren't really trying to discourage you; it's just that they read these threads expecting surefire methods to defeating WyzDm and instead they find a strategy that can't take them to top 100.

Well, good luck on the forums and in the game, at any rate, and hope you enjoy your stay!

Wyrm, you act like I'm going to completely screw him over right now. What I actually get 'hurt' about is the amount of inaccurate or misguided information that gets posted. This makes the wiki and the forum strats on here a 95% joke, no offence. Also, there's no hurt if there's no pros. Notice a lot of the top players don't chat here anymore.

Also, OvO, CvC, CvO and OvC starts are different...such as, swordarcher is a really bad opening OvC but good for short maps in OvO.

A lot of your DM starts are eh, some of the classic starts are solid, but remember, every map has its own start.

I would elaborate, but on my tablet so...eh.

Huh, I guess you guys would be better in the game from here on out without any people replying to your thread and stating the errors in your strategy. Sure, why not.

No offense, but not all of us are in it to beat WyzDm. I'm in it mostly to find the oddest and still viable strategies there are to win the game; some of my friends are in SE because they like to watch animated warriors fight to the death; and I've got a weird friend of mine who's in on it so he can taunt noobs when they lose to him.

Really, I appreciate all the criticism you give, but sometimes I make a strategy not just to win; I make a strategy to be more creative as well.

Newsflash, we're not always in to beating WyzDM 100% of the time! As for oddest and viable strategies...the problem is that those strategies aren't viable at all. See, sometimes just playing friendlies you just want to mess around. Or in rank you try new strats. I know I used to love ninjalbow. Rain once beat me using a 5 mage turtle where he spammed a crapload of spells. But if a strat is being played with, they need to be viable, or at least semi-viable.

And...your weird friend, no offence, is just being rude, an idiot, and acting like an 11 year old. Sorry, but showing manners is game etiquette.

And creative needs to be viable. Your strategies don't work but you defend them to the teeth.

Have you also noticed he labelled this as 5 best strats for classic and DM? If they're not the best, what are we supposed to do? If we don't say anything, we just let beginners teach beginners, if we do, we get Wyrmspawn saying we're being fags and rude to everyone. We don't 'make a world of hurt' for people, you just don't accept things leading to an argument. Simple as that.

Hey, don't be discouraged, post your strategies and we'll point out strengths and flaws. It's just that, don't be too confident it's the best because every strat has pros and cons and it might not actually be the best :P

I have to side with DragonArcher on this one also this stragey can very easily be countered with a castle archer which means your beginner rushers will most certainly die, and then you will be behind on money.
