Does the background have to constantly change a little, or can it suddenly change into a completely different background but the sticks keep going in their original direction? (This is hard to explain).

OK, so let's say the stick is jumping up onto a ledge. As he is jumping up onto the next one, the background changes from a plain white background with black ledges, into, say, Mario world 1, the stick would fall to the ground because the ledge he jumped onto isn't there anymore. Sorry if I'm not making any sense, I tried to explain it the best I could.

OR! Or. Does it have to be moving around like the stairs in Hogwarts?

Just imagine fighting in a plane that is crashing down.
Or that might be one, your example.
Edit:

but the background must be moving/changing the whole time

Should be changing the whole time tho, but your example sounds good.

Yes you can foscex.

Shaffy, the idea of having a changing background is that your sticks gotta interact with it or be affected by it's change/movement, so if you're going to do something like hogwarts' stairs, it might be a little bit boring to watch if your sticks will continue in the same "direction".

Dude, what do you mean how much? It's not a "background to next bg" type, your fighters must be affected on a single background
Like BSE V4 R7, the shrinking room. The fighters almost got squished, so they are what? Panicking? Rushing? They better know what the surrounding is happening.
Or, travelling in a car while brutally fighting, or a shape shifting room, like that
you dun need to prepare 50 bgs or what not.

oooooow so you mean that background changing doesnt means that is going from vulcanic to snowy to jungle
but it can also be the same background an having a building collapse while doing stuf in or around the building...???

yes , fl nordin , that exactly what it means. though it IS allowed , it is more creative and original to go from a background which is moving / changing . doenst necessarily have to be a scenery change.

gl everyone. and nordin , im waiting for your inspiring entry....

Indeed nordin, the IDEA is that you make the combo in something like that, not literally just a change of BGs, read the frontpage, I gave some examples.

I can give a try, I want to not skip this round. My tablet should help to draw some good backgrounds.
