About the holes:
The holes are not large enough to fit a finger through, and are evenly spaced around the buttons.

The water has risen to two thirds of the room and stopped rising. However, it has become clear what would happen if they sacrificed the ones in the net room. Their platform, the only thing keeping them above the slide, would go into the wall.

I'd like to only sacrifice one right now. We only need to sacrifice one, and we can sacrifice another if we get in trouble again. I'm just saying I will straight up murder any of the three of them who refuses to vote, otherwise one of them could stop our sacrifice.

The water is indeed above the glass level. The situation is quite troublesome for them, I assure you. It's quite possible they'll start losing sanity.
Combat is essentially "try to kill them without interference." No real rules to it, though, struggling is bound to happen.
