View Profile I posted multiple resources for people who would have wanted to get their screenshot some other way. I'm happy with Win8.1 but I got rid of the start menu because It'd be much easier for me to just use something I'm already comfortable with. Rather than have to learn and have the new menu grow on me.
And nice desktop. I like the simplicity of it, what's the rainmeter skin in the bottom right?
Thats cool, i just never unsterstood why so many people insist on have a program solely for taking screenshots, when you have key right on your keyboard for it. I actually dont mind the new start menu and stuff. The only problem I have with it is the search function doesn't seem to be very good, and I keep forgetting I right click in the starter because there's no button to right click on.
The stuff in the bottom corner is just the Daemon Tools gadget from windows 7 and another one for the drives. I just have the DT one set to 20% opacity until I mouse over.

View Profile It saves time, it feels a bit tedious having to paste it in MS Paint or what else, perhaps even cropping it. Though since it's just desktop images, your point still stands.

View Profile I use a program just for screenshots because it offers a shit ton more than just a single screenshot. Specifically, you can have different keyboard shortcuts for screenshotting everything, a single monitor, a single window, or a selected region you can draw using shapes like boxes, circles or freehand or whatever. It also adds in an automatic upload to your favorite image host, which makes it dead simple and easy to share something on your screen. My process is literally CTRL+PrtScn -> select box region -> hit enter -> paste resulting imgur link to recipient. The one I use adds in more customization options for what host you want, your own keyboard shortcuts, your own region settings, what to do after upload completes, etc.
Whereas before it would be PrtScn -> Open Image Editor -> New Document -> CTRL+V -> crop region -> save -> open browser -> open imgur -> browse folders to select file to upload -> find appropriate link to copy -> copy -> paste to recipient.

This is literally done in 30 seconds if you don't have a shitty upload speed lower than 200 kb/s
How impatient are people these days?

I was never complaining about it, I just showed how the steps and time are reduced significantly making it worthwhile to someone who frequently needs to screenshot. Calling someone impatient for shaving a significant portion of time off of a daily activity is a dick thing to do, reeks of insecurity, and is also a really stupid assessment. That's like saying someone is impatient for driving to work instead of walking.

View Profile Went ahead and made a quick and sleek desktop wallpaper just for this occasion. I've had my blue sky one for just about a year, and I think it's time to get rid of it for once, haha.
Yeah, so forgive me for uploading on Fileize. For some reason everywhere else would turn my screenshot into a .jpg file, including Imgur. I'll probably get Gyazo or something to settle this.ReconcileBannedPosts: 3,793

View Profile Eh... My desktop isn't really special, since most of my belongings are in the Metro Start Button for Windows 8, Desktop is just Flash, and games.
