Google Chrome error

View Profile Okay so, gonna change my desktop icon for Google chrome.
Right click>Properties>Change Icon
And this comes up:
I suspect this is why it's not allowing the icon to change.
I have tried re-installing Google Chrome and I still get the same message. I also made sure the icon I was using for Chrome was the .ICO file extension. Any idea how to fix this error?

View Profile i don't know what really causes it but make sure you have a chrome.exe file inside this directory

Yeah, I basically made a desktop shortcut, and changed the icon on that (or attempted to.)

View Profile you could also try changing %ProgramFiles% to a static reference to your program files folder (eg. replace it with C:/Program Files) in the "target" and "start in" fields of the shortcut
