Boys and girls, more than 2 years ago, pre-merge Stickpage threw a Group chat / Webcam party for all it's participants (taking into account the location and timezones of most individuals) as a fun way for us to, shall we say, humanize our cyber-relationships with each other. Only a few attended (I think the count is somewhere between 15-20) over the course of about 6 hours. However I was glad that several important people were a part of it (Zed, Jeremy, Devour, Chunky(that was his name, wasn't it?) etc). It was fun, even if completely goofy fun where we all ran out of things to say quickly and decided to get drunk together.

IF we decide to do something like that again, would anyone be interested in being a part of it? I think the entire idea should be scrapped if less than 20 members RSVP. I know that some people might consider this a silly idea, so if you do, please don't respond to this thread. What are your preferred timezones? We will probably zoom in on a time that is convenient for most. It will be a pain in the arse for some, but we can't please everyone. Last time, it was a very inconvenient time for me (3 am in the morning but I stayed up for it anyway) And how do you suggest we all do this (if we do)?

If people are interested, then we can zero in on the arrangements. If this thread dies a slow and painful death, then I shall simply cling to memories of the past, back when wewerealljustsocoolyo.jpg

Also, Cam, we will take your times into consideration.

I'll be there pretty much whenever it is. Can't do 8am-2pm GMT on wednesdays because of classes. Can't do 3-5pm thursdays because of another class. Would prefer not to do 7-11pm mondays because of a regularly scheduled drinking night.

And I'll need at least 45 minutes notice so that I can source booze. I live far from shops :(.

We will all have one week's notice, at least. Thats the point of this thread. Last time, even with a whole week's notice, only a few people showed up. So far, you, me and Cam seem ok with a Saturday night, yeah? Its just the timezones we'll need to get sorted out but that isn't much of a big deal.

Sign me up. Don't have a webcam on me though. If this were to happen, when would it? I'm in Korea right now, but I'll be going to America in about a week or so. Drastic time difference.

Raptor please, hook your computer up to your phone and use that as a webcam. None of this "I want to see you guys but you can't see me" bullshit. We haven't decided on a time yet because we're all in such different time zones. It depends on the majority of attendees.

Holy shit I didn't know you could do that. Okay then, no buying a webcam. Damn, phones can do everything now. Hopefully my roommate will be okay with it.

If this is happening between the 17th of March and the 1st of April then I might have a tougher time day-drinking, or attending at all. I'll be back in England those two weeks staying with my parents but also going to a significant number of other parties. Definitely won't be available:

March 19th, 8pm - March 20th, noon.
March 23rd, 8am - March 24th, noon.
March 27th, 5pm - March 30th, noon.

because those are non-computer-based party times. And drinking just before those times would be bad because driving.

Zed, we'll do it before you leave. Next Saturday is the 15th, we'll lock down the day, and then keep the timings opens.

When we did it the last time, it wasn't on Skype. I have no clue what the mechanics were. They told me to log into some site and I did, and we all chatted. Skype is fine with me too though.
