So, it blocks enemy vision for or short time or does it have to be killed? and, can you make the wall behind their army when attack so its harder to win?

It removes itself after a while, though if you put your units behind it I think it would protect them from arrow harass.
To be honest, 2 Fire mages can usually cover just enough ground to land a guaranteed hit on the enemy Albow line, if you cast each adjacent (and overlapping edges just slightly) over the albows, but at 1700 gold that sure isn't cheap, though it's reusable unlike scorch attacks. As I am seeing a lot now, when an empire can not outmatch or even match a particular enemy set up, it instead must deny the enemy that set up. Ninjalbow would probably still be a huge threat though.

I thought of an ambush tactic
Get a bunch of charrogs and a wind+earth elemental
then set up the wall and dig holes with charrogs
Due to the block of sight, the enemy would think the charrogs were still there but your charrogs had already been underground
Then you can do a surprise attack :P
Just my opinion :3

In the current meta, blind gates are pretty useless. I'm not cutting it out, it could be good for engagements and so on, hiding spellcasters, getting first hit in a fight, etc. but its expensive and disappears when they walk through it/after a while.

Agree. Blind gate is the most useless combination for elemental, more expensive than miner wall and turret, and useless
Just a waste of 600 gold , and only lasts for a very short period of time
I suggest it should work as miner wall and turret , which is long lasting with a health bar, so unless it is destroyed , otherwise it should last forever.

No, arrows still fire through it and you can still target units on the other side. Furthermore, it goes away when you send a unit past it.

Ninjalbow is probably THE best counter to elementals there is. With mage or giant support it becomes unstoppable. This is why it's hard to deny order if they turtle up for elems

Why must everybody underestimate the combined explosion?!?!?! just use than to kill the albows and ninjas and use a charrog and a tank!

Ya think its so easy? Try it yourself.

have a try first before overestimate it .
The combined explosion is much more difficult than chaos bombers to target .
Once fire or water unit get killed, the explosion is blocked. And one explosion cannot kill albow, and two explosion cannot kill one albow
Keep in mind that each explosion costs 800 gold

Uh huh. They're also hard to aim at.

was anyone else expecting some kind of sand storm from the air+earth?

Indeed, it is hard to predict where they will combine (and explode)
so god micro is needed

That would be SO much better than blind gate. lol
Quote from fhtrgWhy must everybody underestimate the combined explosion?!?!?!
Because we have played against people that have tried to use it. They failed miserably because it's difficult to deploy and expensive to use. Not to mention that the fires and waters can die easily and will most likely be out-kited before the fire/water units can get in range.
And besides that, one doesn't even kill them...
