Growing up I loved super hero's and a specially the animated versions of the shows that's what got me drawing and soon animating. For me there were two certain brands that always were on top for me marvel and DC off and on with both I couldn't make up my mind so I'm asking everyone in order to sway my decision... which one do u think is the best?

Technically the MOST powerful DC entity ( The Presence) and the MOST powerful Marvel entity ( The One Above All) would cancel each other out.

Well for me I'll go with Marvel since I know them a little more than DC.

I do like Marvel more but dc would win because DR Manhattan would kill off all of Marvel.

Guys he is not asking which lineup of characters would win in a fight. He's asking which brand is better. And really, that is a really vague question. There's just so much that both sides offer, and both sides equally have some crap attached to them. This poll is just too fucking vague and subjective to be serious. And more or less it just boils down to preference.

Character wise Dc but as a company I'd have to say marvel.

Are u familiar with Marvel DC Universe where they actually at the beginning were together? Batman and wolverine were once the same person etc. And attributes of each characters were spit creating marvel in one universe and DC in another.

The Amalgam universe was a one-time event that will never happen again. It was made in a time when both companies were still starting out and were pretty friendly with each other before politics mucked it up. Some of the ideas were too stupid to fathom anyway (Lobo the Duck?!)

marvel would win their characters have more power because marvel copied dc and just made there hero/villains better (like green arrow and hawkeye)

Spoken like a true disillusioned fanboy.
Hawkeye began as a one shot villain in the 1960s before joining the Avengers. He had a pretty simple backstory because nobody thought that he was going to be big at the time. Green Arrow however was conceptualized as early as the 1940---TWENTY YEARS before Hawkeye. His obvious inspiration was Robin Hood and his backstory pretty much mirrored Batman to an extent which, even though was clearly ripped off, at least appeared way more intriguing and contentful than Hawkeye's flimsy ran away to the circus and was trained bullshit.
I'm not taking sides here and saying who is better, but you should learn to get your facts straight before you just blindly assume things you have no idea about.
Now I am aware that both companies have tried to copy each other on many occasions. But to say that Marvel is better specifically because they copied DC is just stupid.

Tbf, assessing people's personal preferences is kind of the point of a poll. If you ask something like "what is the capital of Spain?" the results are going to be pretty boring.
I wanted to put something substantive here about my own preferences but actually I don't think I have a preference. Or at least, I don't know what my preference is. Too many characters to hold in my head at once.

Personal preference, okay. I can live with that. They can like Marvel or DC whichever it may be.
But to say that they like Marvel because its characters could kick the DC's characters ass in a fight? It's not even an objective reason. Or a logical one.

My heart will mostly belong to the DC comics, because of characters like the Joker, Teen Titans, etc etc!

Personally I like DC more, but only because I like the Vertigo/Wildstorm line of comics. Anyone who's new to the scene ought to check out Hellblazer/Constantine, Preacher, The Authority, and Invincible for one.
But it's not fair to say that DC is better because of that because Marvel has no Vertigo counterpart I can compare with. It's got its Modern Age series like the Runaways, but that isn't enough to hold water. And no, Deadpool is retarded. Stan Lee, as brilliant as he may be, is a man stuck in the 60s. His conceptualizations of characters are always so triumphant and proud.
Probably the only Marvel line I really care about is Spider-Man, but of course it's got its crappy stuff too. Superior Spider-Man is/was amazing, and I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't going to last long, as it will tie-in with an Amazing Spider-Man revival. I'm gonna miss that black and red Spider-Ock costume.
