Name – Ace
Age – 21
Years to Go - 85
Weapon – A deck of rigged cards. Each suit has it’s own style.
Diamonds – A barrier to protect him from attacks.
Hearts – Mines that with a simple gesture can explode.
Clubs – These cards chain together to create a whip like weapon. Can cut through most malleable metal, resistant against all other material.
Spades – Razor cards that can be used as throwing knives. Can stick into any material, even metal. All of these cards are used with the special gloves he wears and can return to their owner with a simple tugging motion.
Ability – Probability Manipulation. In short terms, he can adjust the probability of getting a hit from 50% to 75% success rate. Think Dungeons and Dragons when you roll a die to attack. He can also adjust any probability that he may encounter, although he needs to leave a 25% margin for the opponent's attacks out of fairness. He can also adjust any probability in a 2 mile radius, meaning anything that can't be broken 95% of the time can be changed to being easily knocked down at 15%.
Weaknesses – 1. Has to place odds on the fight before it starts in order to use his probability powers. The odds were created by his “guardian” angel and the big man upstairs so he couldn’t use his powers for personal gain. He has to place odds with his life span. 10 to 1 odds means he is betting ten years of his life in his favor. If he wins, he gets those ten years back. If he loses, he will die ten times faster.
2. His cards all have one weakness, his gloves. If the gloves are taken off, he cannot use the cards as they would harm him like they harm everyone else.
3. The deck of cards can only be used one suit at a time. He cannot use Diamonds while using Hearts.
4. Is distracted constantly by “bountiful” women. Because he’s a lady killer, he usually gets distracted by women, even if he’s in the middle of a game or fight. This also happens if he’s fighting a woman, saying he shouldn’t hurt a lady. That is, until they start winning.
5. The opponent has to accept the odds in order for his power to work. If they decline, or stack the odds then Ace has no power of probability.
Back Story – Ace has been lucky his whole life. He’s always gotten the girl (though he usually dumps them after one date.), he’s never been caught speeding (which he does a lot of. Vegas was made for fast cars, fast women, and incredible odds), and he’s never been in the hospital. Until his luck turned sour. Just as he was exiting a casino after winning the biggest pot the Pit Boss would allow, he forgot to check the traffic lights. A car hurtled out of a red light and swerved into him. The resulting crash crippled both his hands. Within an hour, he was taken to a hospital, where they couldn’t replace his hands and so amputated them. Feeling cheated, Ace cussed God out, waging his own life if he could get a pair of hands.
That's when he knew God existed, as an angel entered his hospital room. A literal angel with pure white wings, a toga covering her body, a golden halo above her head, and a pair of gloves in her hands. Ace couldn’t believe his own luck.
Now the angels of heaven can’t stand to be without me. He thought, watching this angelic being approach his bed. She reached forward, slapped him across the face with one of the gloves, and declared that God had taken his bet. But Ace must abide by Gods rules. And so, Ace had been forced to work under God, through the influence of Alyssa the Angel, and enter the RHG’s in their name. The only reason Ace agreed was because A) he would be with the sexiest lady in the world and B) he had full use of his hands back.
Alyssa had also given him a deck of rigged playing cards, saying that he will need them once he’s entered. Ace, of course, took the deck and ever since has been practicing for his first opponent.
Appearance/Descriptions -
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa17/Uzamaki21/AcewRHG.jpg <- In this incarnation he has blonde hair and blue eyes. Always with his fedora and gloves, he is the picture of a dandy.
In Stick terms, he’s colored dark red, still with his fedora and white gentleman’s gloves. His deck of cards, though, are hidden in a pocket on his person. When asked, he’ll only say it’s none of your damn business.
Personality – In any situation, he’s calm and always sweet talking. He’s always waiting for openings in an opponent, whether they are trying to kill him or talk him into something. He throws off any insult given him, seeing that he's already been insulted by the highest being imaginable. Because of his bet with God, he’s a bit bitter about any religion, and usually sticks with one idea: God is a betting man and he loves to stack the odds in his favor. When the stress of battle begins to wear his patience thin, he stops talking and focuses more on ending the fight, whether it means his defeat or victory. He's very squeamish about death, and so tries to avoid killing his opponents.
Hobbies – Going to casino’s, Partying, chatting with the ladies, and is an accomplished kick boxer.
Demo –
"Ready to for the entry test?" The lady behind the counter asked. Stretching his neck, Ace smiled and tipped his hat. "Why yes I am!" He said, rotating each of his wrists. With a satisfying pop, both he and his partner entered the arena. The RHG offices were built as an enormous stadium. The lobby was filled with posters of famous fighters and slogans saying "You can do it, but we'll try to stop ya!" The arena the two were entering was styled to be exactly like a pro bowl football stadium, with the exception of screaming fans.
"For entry, the Almighty one and I have agreed to give you a free 10 years to get yourself into the games, but after this, it's your life." Alyssa said, floating right behind her charge. "I get it, I get it. The only Get out of Jail Free card I need." He smirked as he stepped onto the grass of the arena. Just across the field, another hopeful was entering. The long black cloak concealed thousands of small knives. His black hair hung low over the thin rimmed glasses. “Ace, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said.
Ace smirked and pulled off his fedora. “Pleased to meet you too, uh. . .” “Rain” Alyssa whispered. “Really? Rain? That’s interesting.” Ace muttered, smiling. “It’s Rain, you know.” The stranger muttered. “Alright, so Rain, are you a betting man?” Rain nodded, but slowly drew a knife from his coat. “Let’s put some odds on this fight. Ten to one says I win this fight!” Rain smirked and nodded. “Fine, I’ll accept that bet!” Pulling at his gloves, Ace chuckled. “I thought you might.” Already he could see the numbers spinning into his vision.
Rain threw his weapon, the small knife travelling the length of the football field easily. Ace tilted his head to the right and the blade whipped past him. “Close!” He shouted, throwing his first attack in return. It was a small playing card. It whizzed through the air, making a whistling sound as it tore through Rains coat.
Surprised, Rain back up and touched several daggers. Each one he touched disappeared. Ace looked up and saw that they were hurtling towards him from the sky. “Die by impalement!” Ace launched into a roll, dodging the blades and whipping out two more cards. They spun like disks and slashed into Rains’ trousers. “Man, this suit was a gift!” Ace grunted, pulling another card out.
Blood welled from Rains wounds as he pulled six knives out, each one taking space between his fingers. “Shut it!” He shouted letting the weapons fly. Ace spun round and held out his card. The knives pinged off as if the card was made of steel. “What?!” “Diamonds are really hard right? Well I hope you got something that hits harder!” Ace dashed forward, slipping the card back into his sleeve.
Reaching into his suit coat, he grabbed his next weapon. Rain did his disappearing act on the knives again, this time the knives hurtling towards Ace from behind. Ace whipped around and flexed his wrist. A line of thirteen cards shot from his pocket and cleaved a path in the knives. Watching the color drain from his opponents face, he spun to a stop and flicked his wrist. All thirteen cards folded neatly into his hand.
“What the hell are you using?!” Rain asked, gripping one knife in his hand. “They’re cards. What did you expect?”
Using the moment of distraction, Rain flourished his hands and a ring of knives appeared around Ace. “End of the line, punk!” “Punk? I’m a gentleman! I’m not some boorish threat!” Ace exclaimed, smiling. He slid the cards back into his pocket, while flicking his wrist. The knives, hovering in place, shot towards him.
With a spin, thirteen cards were suspended in a ring around him, all colored red. Rains’ eyes brightened at his sudden understanding. They were all from the diamond suit in a deck of cards. Looking back at the cards that hit him, he noticed they were spaces. That only left two more. “So, each suit has a special ability!” He shouted, just as he noticed the knives knocked aside by the cards.
“Boy are you sharp! Yes, each suit is different. But I think it’s time we end this!” Rain jerked back. “What?! It’s only been a few minutes!” Stretching, Ace smirked. “I know, but there’s this date I gotta get to and I’d rather not be dirty.” He looked down at himself and noticed the grass stains. “Ugh, it’s going to take hours getting this out of my suit.”
Getting angry, Rain dashed towards his offender, raising a fist. “Not yet!” Ace took the blow square on in the face. Twisting, Ace followed the motion and ducked underneath Rains’ arm, and caught Rain with a crushing upper cut. Rain staggered back, not noticing that Ace had also tossed out more red colored cards. Looking at their suit proved disastrous as some exploded, sending him backwards.
Picking himself up, Rain noticed the seriousness of Aces’ face. “You really want to push it?” He asked, raising his fist and stepping into a boxers stance. Grunting, Rain dashed forward, two knives held parallel to the floor. The two exchanged several blows, but Ace always seemed to be just out of reach of his weapons. Finally, Ace delivered three quick punches to his stomach and reverse kicked him away.
Rain clutched his gut, waiting for the pain to stop, until Ace delivered a sucker punch to his skull. Rain landed hard on the ground and fell unconscious. Ace let himself out of the arena, and stopped by the front desk. “Wait, that’s it?! You’re just going to knock him out?!” Alyssa asked, floating to his shoulder. She had decided to be shoulder angel sized, to add to her charges convenience, even though she didn’t really care that much.
“I’m not going to beat him to death! That’s just wrong!” Ace replied, shivering. “Besides, I don’t need any blood on my suit. Grass is going to be a nightmare in its own right!” Alyssa shook her head. “Whatever you want to believe, mister modest.” She said, setting herself onto his shoulder.
Winking at the woman behind it, he smiled and said, “So am I in?” With a shrug, she gave him a quick smile before submitting the video of the fight to her superiors. “I’ll let you know tonight!” “Right. I’ll swing by round seven!” Ace replied, heading for the door and smiling at the other newcomers sitting and waiting their turn. The receptionist let out a sigh and smiled.

So this character is actually a friend of mines. He did the wRHG's a few years ago but quickly lost interest. I couldn't come up with any good story/character combination that wasn't either used or was too cliche and he decided to give me his old character. I am, of course, going to try to make him my own, and have made a few changes to his old layout! I really hope this has the bare minimum allowed to be posted. . . ^^;
