Hhhmm...I'll have to work on that. I think I'm starting to understand anatomy a little bit better now.

knowing origin and insertion points for major muscles will help you to understand exactly where to place them. for example, pectoralis major originates from the clavicle and sternum, and inserts into the proximal end of the humerus. that means it should have a corner that extends to the upper part of the arm - it's not localized entirely to the chest.

Wow that's awesome Vishal. Also a good idea for critiquing in general.

I don't have much to add here except that the 3/4 view had a slight view discrepency with the muscles below the breasts. The side muscles and the front muscles portray different view angles of the body and conflict with one another.

Besides that, there are several other things that seem wrong but I can't quite place them, but this is a very detailed drawing and good for a first time sketch. Good luck and happy drawing!

i thought the saying was "Draw what you see, not what you think you see?"
Your're saying Jan needs to learn more about the body, not just copy the picture?
But if you know, then you don't have to draw what you see? hmmm

lol that got me thinking

I think the problem is that jan has issues drawing what he sees, so he should learn so he can just draw something that's all around correct
