Hi! I just wanted to know if there's any sort of FREE* Screen Recording Software that could do slide shows and edits? Because currently, I only know Ezvid. But it keeps on fail to run after 33.0MB when I install it again and again, the entire thing is 162MB. So, if there's anyone who knows about it, PLEASE tell me...

Here, try Bandicam. It's not the best if you don't have registration (which isn't required) but it is hella good: http://www.bandicam.com/

Bandicam (Free)
Dxtory (Free)
Fraps (Pay)
Camtasia Studio (Pay)
Hypercam (Free)
Camtasia studio is nice. It's really user-friendly and it's a screen recorder and video editor in one.
Fraps is a really powerful screen recorder. Files usually have enormous file sizes.

CamStudio - Good for beginners since it has a simple UI and doesn't have much lag.
HyperCam - Just a normal recorder, the program will record with lags if you have a slow computer.
Fraps - Good for games. Fraps only works in fast computer since it will lag if you have a really, really slow PC. One think you'll hate about Fraps is how big the file sizes it records. Try recording a video for only 5 seconds and the file size will be somewhere 60-100MB. So if you're going to use Fraps, make sure you have enough hard disk space.
Bandicam - Also good for games. Like the previous recorders, it would lag if you have a slow computer.
Camtasia Studio - Amazing recorder, you can edit a video after you recorded it. And like the previous recorders, it will lag if you have a slow computer.

Honestly, you really should save up some money for Camtasia Studio. It's pretty powerful as a program, as you can edit the recordings you take with it in several different ways such as adding/removing audio, adding text to parts of your recorded footage, speeding up/slowing downrecorded footage, etc.
's definitely something worth buying!

Actually I have a similar question. Is there any cheap software that lets you record your screen as well as record audio being played in your computer?

Camtasia Studio. I took some screenshots of the UI for the editor and the recorder.

As for cheap. I can't recommend this since it's $299.00. But it has a 30-day free trial. And this program can't record games unless they're in windowed mode, in case that's a deal breaker for you.

Can you download Camtasia trials again after you finished using your first trial?
