These are pretty nice, and I like the idea (I had the Drapion one of these a lil while back as my Desktop BG lol) but these something Missing from it.
*after looking at it a while and looking at the source inspired artwork*
I think what might be missing is the lack of lost line and shape relationship.
When I first looked at the spartan Picture, I didn't even realize it was suppose to be the class from Stickwars. The problem with this is it just looks like to minimalistic vectored Spartan armor on a black BG.

See how while the artist only used 2 colors, he used lost lines to still create both gesture and depth in the piece. I can.
A) Tell its a Snorla:
B) Tell its facing with its butt towards the camera
C) Tell its head is being slightly obscured from the girth of its belly
D) Tell its laying on its back
From what I can tell, this type of style requires a pretty good knowledge of how you're going to setup your figure so that everything is in the right place

(to really drive home my point) You can see the 3 different gestures, with Squirtle just kind of standing, Wartortle in a ready stance, and Blastoise with his back facing the viewer and looking over his shoulder like a boss.
Your Albatross one is definitely the better of the two, but I still cant quite tell its gesture. (it took me 10 minutes to realize he's reaching back with his hand to pull out a bolt)
**Also (though it might just me my opinion) I would try and avoid using black as the main color, it makes the whole thing feel dull. What might help solve both problems (using the Spearton as an example) would be to use the armor/shield color as the main color, and define his helm at and shield using the red, black, and shield detail color. Or you could use the red you have and define the rest of the piece breaking that up (idk). Personally I think the brown or the red would be more visually stimulating than the black (might even work if you just tones it down to a dark gray!)
These are still p cool though, I tried doing this once and failed pretty bad lmao so I know how annoying/difficult it can be to execute.
