This is a build I made during many games and its very good. I have won many games using it even against a notorious spearton offensive build as shown in this replay: www.stickempires.com/play?replay=replay6065849&version=2.05.
Here is the build order:
1 Miner
1 Sword
1 Miner
1 Miner
1 Miner
1 Sword or Archer
This starting build order is very effective against Order and is also very flexible. To noobs, this is probably the best build to start in my opinion.

It works for all maps. I have 2 objections though....
Why 2 swords for long map? You could bait the 2 swords with 1 sword and lead it to your base.
1)He attacks your sword. Immediate miner swarm and you easily fend them off, perhaps killing both swords if opponent isn't careful. (and get 2nd sword during that time)
2)Opponent doesn't give chase. You have a miner head start that gets exponentially better as time passes.
Sword archer is terrible, just damn terrible against my build. I played against 6 different players who used the exact same starting build against mine.
1)He rushes me and I get a 2nd sword with 3rd in Queue. I miner swarm his sword and I will most likely kill it or scare it. My 2nd sword comes out and I chase them. Stalemate start, but since he built archer, I get 1 miner advantage. Counter attacks don't work because my extra miner gives me an additional sword which evens it out the army size while I have archer in queue.
2)He doesn't attack me, but now I have miner advantage.

I don't usually agree with Mr. Pumu here, but...
This guy has a 2300 rating(Pumueilis). Most likely, he has faced this strategy at least once on his journey to 2.3k
For your strategy of "Baiting the swords", you could just use this thing called micro, and press H on your keybord to make them stop so they don't go to your base. I am a Chaos player, but i still know Sw/Archer could beat that build on a short map if the player knows how to use it.
For you number 1, once again, its called micro, and he can attack your swords, run away, than keep doing that until dead, and you're screwed. For your number 2, if they do that, than they have no idea how to use sw/archer. Please play me on a short map, and try to win with me, a Chaos player, attacking you constantly. My chaos may be 2k and my order only 1.6 k, but i could most likely still beat you. I'm not trying to be mean at all, just pointing out flaws, so you can improve you're strategy.
All the best,

This build is against other Orders, but I find my build okay against chaos. It is because I have won 2 out of the 2 chaos games using this build, but I haven't faced enough chaos to use as evidence. In addition, I am really good at micro, because I used to be a good Starcraft Brood War player. For example in the replay above, I used good micro to snipe archers during not the best ping. I'd like to take the challenge; however, I can only use my better computer at certain times of the day(US East 10am-2pm). So if its possible, we can arrange a game. Also, I have a good rating of 1400s and I plan to reach 1600s soon.

I recommend you not to post your strats when you haven't seen pro player strats please. Wyzdm as an example.

Hey you never know, the strat someone does could be the next meta.
Though, I don't know if this is quite gonna be the next meta. But if you work on it it could be pretty good :)

I'm fine with people posting their strats. I'm not fine with people who bullshit over their strats even when there's clear points that could be addressed.

1) I don't like using rank as "evidence". Please don't use it to prove he's right.
2) MMS (basically what he says) is fairly standard. Trenis, your logic isn't the best, esp. against MSS on Grass Hills (GH), and no one would ever stay against miners. More likely they would move in and out after grabbing tower, forcing your APM (actions per minute) taxed.
SO yeah, each map has a standard opener. You can't use MMS for everything, sorry! For short maps, you could try SA (Sword/Archer) or AM -> S (Archer/Miner -> Sword)
EDIT: Also, there's a flaw. If he has tower, that's worth 2 miners. So you're actually behind 1 miner in total income (miners+tower), but ahead 1 miner in "natural" income (miner only income)

tower is more like 1.5 but okay
Jun 27, 2014 3:15 PM #1212081
After reading the thread again, this could be a useful strategy, but mostly on long maps. But any opponent who has good micro won't be lured back to you're base, they'll just take the tower.

I did the maths myself, it's nearer to 2. It's almost 2, like super close.

So, 1.9, basically.

Treniscourt's tactics are suprisingly good at long maps though, but you can't rush with it.
Anyways, he said the tactics were "For noobs, by noobs, effective against noobs"
