Perses

Alias: The Eyes of Eternity
Gender: Male
Color: #1D2227
Affiliation: Clan Eternity
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Abilities:
Manipulation of raw Telekinetic Force, the purest form of telekinesis as well as limited manipulation of Psionic Energies. Automatically generates a thin barrier of psychic energy around him which the point of his powers will originate from. This barrier can be expanded or shrunk for various conventions. Uses include, but are not limited to:
• Repelling enemies/incoming attacks back
• Levitate himself, others, and objects
• Launching bolts of psychic energy
• Crush and cut objects mentally
• Erect force fields
• Psionic Explosions
• Telekinetic shadow generation
to name a few applications. Perses’ mastery over these forces, allow for mixed combat styles of hand to hand combat, long ranged fighting, and object manipulation. He is also both physically and mentally trained to endure psionic assaults on his body and mind from other psychics, to the point of near immunity to them.
Weaknesses:
• Aggressively predictable: Perses excels in pure power, but lacks diversity when it comes to other applications of his psychic powers (ex: he cannot control an opponent’s movements, read minds, or manipulate matter on a sub-atomic level) thus he relies more on how much he can overwhelm his enemy over the amount of methods he has to eliminate his enemy.
• Instability: Although three years of experience has allowed Perses to master his psychic powers, they are rather unstable due to its rather sudden development when he was still young. He must keep calm during fights, even if his life is in immediate danger, he cannot show any overly expressive emotions or else his powers could potentially get out of control, possibly killing him.
• Headshots: Solid blows to the head easily disorient him and make it more difficult for him aim or focus properly. His concentration will be thrown off immensely, resulting in sudden spikes of his psychic energy which could lead to painful headaches or distorted vision. This is more of a one time thing however, as actually landing a hit on him can prove difficult.
• Copycats: Perses despises RHGs with copycat abilities, usually seeing them as thieves, only taking without justification other than because they're powerless without anyone to leech off of. He absorbs himself more in a battle when against mimickers, making him less likely to pay attention to whats going on around him.
• Ego While Perses isn't the most egotistic person outwardly, he will let his guard down at times if he believes he has the upper hand of the battle. And this can occur frequently since for the most part, he finds it unnecessary to drag out battles for extended periods of time. He therefore does what he can to end battles early, and won't always take into account factors like reserve or perseverance unless he is aware that his opponent is exceptionally strong.
Story:
Perses was an orphaned child, raised by a secret branch of the RHG, which was responsible for developing a new generation of gladiators. Perses lived his life in confinement with other orphans. He found it difficult to make friends, as he was constantly forced to fight them all. Due to this, he never developed any proper sense of morality or honor. Though this made him one of the finest gladiators the RHG has raised, it also made him quite ruthless and uncaring. During his childhood, he was subjected to various psychological testing, created to heighten his mental senses. These tests would take a considerable toll on him, as the sudden development of his mentality was rather unbearable. Eventually it came to the point where he began experiencing supernatural phenomenon such as random fits of energy and more than real hallucinations. Deducing that he would be unable to properly handle his new-found powers in his current environment, he escaped the lab and went into a self induced exile. Spending three whole years in isolation he learned to master his telekinetic superpowers, turning his mind into a weapon.
Unbeknownst to him however he was being tracked, and upon discovering his increase in power, was hunted down and founded by his peers. He was then defeated by their combined effort, and thrown into confinement once again. This time as a "prisoner of war". After a few days of being shackled and tortured endlessly as punishment for attempting escape, the RHG decided that he could be used for what he was trained for and forced him back into working as a gladiator. He now serves the dark-side of the RHG as their puppet, simply fighting only to continue development of the project. But Perses has his own plans. And for him to complete it, he needs to get to the top.
Since joining Eternity: Perses initially had no intention in joining a clan. Yet when approached by the members of the northern clan Eternity, they managed to spark his interest greatly. Perses views them as essential comrades towards his ultimate goal, believing that their combined abilities could be what he needs to achieve the final stages of his plans. However, due to the strong sense of justice some of his clan mates have, it is possible that they could become more of a hindrance than help. Nonetheless he does not intend to betray them soon. Not yet at least. He still respects them all for their unique traits, and how they can work well as a team. For now, as long as they keep being their good, jolly selves, he'll stick around. He can be found underneath Eternity's main base of operations, in a large cavern where he spends most of his days meditating and building up his energy (usually evident by the amount of levitating objects around him).
Personality and traits:
Perses treats every situation nonchalantly and those who know him could say he has all the right to do so. He knows he is powerful, and believes that he can take any threat with little regard for possible complexities he could face. Some could even call him arrogant and power hungry out of all things. However, he never will openly boast or downgrade his opponent verbally, preferring his battle skills do the talking for him. There will be times where he will underestimate his opponents, letting his guard down if he feels like he has gained the upper hand. He will not hesitate when fighting. No matter who he is facing he doesn't hold back be they friend or foe. Any test against him is a test against his power, and therefore, something he won't easily dismiss. But no matter how powerful he is, Perses is still an imprisoned man. He longs for freedom from the RHG, and is willing to do anything to escape their constant watch. At the end of the day, Perses only sees two outcomes. Either he ends his opponent, or they end him. A simple concept which was continuously drilled into his head whilst in the training program.
