If you're not having fun anymore then stop and animate again when you feel like it. If you start trying to animate to impress instead of having fun, then either take a break or just stop animating completely.

That's what I said. Paraphrased.
Get on my level.
Get on my level.

You are probably blocked by the thought of making the first step. I suggest you to motivate yourself with something strong and then rush into making the animation (or at least starting it): after this, everything will be a little more relaxing
Oh, and don't listen to hewitt: he's like the naked man with a coat that asks you to help him with his cat in a dark alley

The need for attention emanating from this comment stings ;_;
Just watch some animation of some kind, something on the front page, perhaps. That usually motivates me to get off my butt and get back on my butt and animate :/

There are a lot of different reasons that stuff like this happens. Here's a few common ones;
a) You're worn out. Drawing the same thing over and over is boring, let's face it- the best part about animating is the final product; the actual process of animating can get repetitive and dull very quickly. Maybe the reason you're struggling with that tryout is because you needed a moment to acknowledge all of the animating you'd already done that day.
b) You'd rather be doing something else. Whether that something is gaming, listening to music, reading, or talking with friends, the best thing you can do for yourself is to try something different. Maybe you'd rather try and hang out with some people nearby before you commit yourself to a group of other animators half a world away? Maybe you just want to sit around for a while instead of push yourself to put out content? Whatever it is you'd rather be doing, try that out for a while- see how it goes. Unless it's drugs. Don't do drugs.
c) You're not satisfied with your work. If I had to guess, notthebest, you are not the best there is at doing what you do. And truthfully, neither am I, neither is Hewitt, and neither are guys like Terkoiz and Hyun. Everybody wishes they could be better, unless they're a narcissist, in which case they could still be better and not a narcissist. But one of the things we humans need in order to get better is to learn to take pride in what we do- regardless of how 'good' the result of our efforts may be. The way it sounds though; you put in a good day's work, and the quality of your animations improved. But if you're fretting over how your animation looks compared to so-and-so, or whether it will be enough to get into the clan this-and-that, you have cause for concern. But when that concern turns into anxiety, and that anxiety causes you to balk in your efforts, and your lack of effort makes you even more anxious, things can spin out of control very rapidly. So what you need to learn to do- if this is even a problem for you at all- is to turn that concern into strategy, not anxiety. If you're concerned that your stick figure is starting to get a case of the wiggles, take a moment to adjust the brush smoothing, experiment with the line tool, or relax for a moment to steady your hand. When you encounter a problem, focus your efforts towards finding a solution. If you start to lose confidence, work to regain it. When you have obtained both a solution and the confidence to implement it, do so, and achieve results. If you are without solutions and without confidence, pride yourself in the pursuit of them, not punish yourself for lack of them.
