Distraction detail, Sebastian was cool with that, better him than anyone else thanks to the fact he was the most maneuverable. Memories of how this exact tactic was used against the behemoth and how well it did not work out floated in his head but he shook it off. He'll just play it smarter this time, and the jet pack was smaller and more compact, making him a smaller target to hit anyways. "Alright then, I'll be off." He gave Iris a kiss on the cheek and took off. The wind roared in his ears and ran its light playful fingers through his hair as he soared towards the monstrous giant. The thing just grew bigger and bigger as he drew closer, soon the machine took up his whole field of vision and he couldn't even capture the whole thing at once. He flew higher rather than further, it was better to keep the sun at his back to hopefully distract the machine, it would also make it look down less. He had to be 400 feet in the air as he fanned his face for at the slightly thin altitude. He had to be sure he was just out of the beast's reach but not too far that it would stop focusing on him. He hoped this would work.

Iris felt like a hit on her stomach as Sebastian kissed her on the cheek, she said so his ear while he was still near her face "Stay safe...".

As Mason said, all of her firepower started to aim towards the monster's knees..

the destroyer continued it's dread march towards the survivors, ignoring the explosions taking place on it's body. Sebastian flew up around the creature, annoying it as a fly annoys a human. The destroyer began swatting at Sebastian, trying to smack him out of the air. The survivors switched their target to aim at the beast's knees, who was too distracted to notice that the plating on it's legs was getting blown off rather quickly.

However, now that the group was focusing on their legs, they noticed that the creature had another power. Large green spikes were growing out of the earth around the creature, letting off an aura that made the dirt turn black and killed the plant life. Dozens of strange looking worm creatures began slithering out of the corrupted dirt towards the survivors, parasitic abominations created by the sheer power of the destroyer's aura.

"And everything was going so well... fuck." Mason let out a sigh as the creatures filed out of the ground. "Iris, do you mind shooting a few fancy arrows over there like smoke, ice, and uhhh... fire?" Mason hollered over. He ran in the direction of the worms, with chaos everywhere he hoped it would be easier to run straight through them and take out as many as he could on each run. Hopefully he could slice through them multiple times like a human sword.

As Dante tried to rip off the monster's head, another one of the creatures pounced on her. She now realized they were much stronger than she previously thought, beating her in brute strength. Their hides were like armor and their muscles were easily strong enough to tear through metal. One of the creatures grabbed hold of her side, squeezing tightly about where her kidney was located. The metal of her suit crunched in upon itself, ripping into her flesh. She screamed from the sheer agony of the situation. Rage, pain, and frustration welling inside of her. She kicked the monster off of her as the other 4 quickly rammed her, acting as sort of flood, pushing her down the hallway before trampling over her. She could see an ornate door opened before her with the group inside. Before she could call out the pack was upon her once more, all 7 of the creatures tearing at her armor, leaving deep gashes in her flesh. Without help she would surely soon die.

Mason started to run off, but was brought back by screams. He stopped in his tracks to see Dante getting attacked by vicious monsters. "Fucking fuck. Iris focus at the worms, I gotta go help Dante!" He shouted as he turned around. He quickly ran back into the hall and busted into the room where Dante was getting pounced on. "Hold on!" Were the only words that left his lips, he started sinking his claws into the monsters and swinging them away from dante one by one. He then took control of one of the monsters and and sicked it at the others. "Come on, we're getting you out of here alive." Mason threw Dante onto his back as he juggled the minds of the beasts. He attempted to make it back to the open.

Iris focusing on both, the monster's knees and the worms-like enemies comming ot of the ground she was able to shot each one of them per second, fire and ice arrows for the grounded enemies and all sort of arrows for the knees of the monster.... suddenly her frocus was broken by a familiar scream of pain, she suddenly stopped shooting and looked back, Mason immediatly called hat he was the one on his way to help... even tho Iris wanted to go by herself, he was right... She and Nikolai were the one ones that could possibly damage the monster from a safe distance.

As Mason went to help Dante, Iris drained a part of her energy and spawned 3 green arrows amd placed them on her back, hoping that Mason can bring Dante back to them she'd use those arrows to heal any kind of wound that she had. Only a bit of cold sweat and a minor exhaust feeling ran across her body as she spawned the arrows as fast as possible. As soon as she finished, Iris proceeded to continue her attack towards her enemies, blocking completly the path for those little monsters with fire and explosions and at the same time combining her best and hardest arrows to damage the monster's knees.

Sebastian hoped he could do more, but the giant arms of the destroyer was enough to occupy his mind with. He just needed to wait a little longer for its legs to finally collapse before he could go down and help his teammates. Fall already, he backed off from another barrage of swings as the machine tried to smack him out of the sky. Dipping in and out, weaving to and fro, he sort of felt like a needle and thread, moving with delicacy and finesse.

Nikolai saw everything happening all at once. Sebastian was swinging around the monster, distracting it from the constant pressure on it's legs from the various explosions. Suddenly, out from black, corrupted earth sprung multitudes of hideous parasites, which Nikolai shot between the eyes with dead precision each and every time. The other revolver was focused still on the knees, explosions denting it further and further, slowly but surely.

Then everything changed when he heard a scream.

Dante.

He looked over his shoulder, and saw in horror as beasts ripped at Dante and crumpled her suit into nothingness. Thankfully, Mason ran forth and saved her, placing her on his back as he tasked Nikolai and Iris with destroying the monstrosity. That was it. He had to finish it, and he had to do it now.

Throwing his revolvers to the ground, he heaved the heavy machinery and looked for a button. Pressing it, he felt it's hum of power as he aimed for the head of the beast. The laser came out.

The large laser cannon's beam slammed into the armor next to the creature's head, the sheer power of the blast causing Nikolai to miss his target. However even the massively thick armor of the beast stood no chance against the power of the laser. The beam went straight through him, melting some of the internal components of the Destroyer. The large machine fell to it's knees before letting out a massive shockwave through the air. The lights behind them in the throne room and hallway suddenly went out, plunging the monsters in the hallway into darkness. Sebastian's jetpack sputtered and shut off, causing him to begin plunging to the earth. Nikolai's cannon powered down. After the EMP the Destroyer fell to the ground, defeated. The head of the beast opened up as Hura stepped out, black blood leaking from a cut on her cheek. Zero could be seen inside the Destroyer's head, his mangled body all that remained of what he once was.

"You fucking IMBECILES!" spat the original. "We're just trying to bring you perfection! Can't you see that?! Why must you fight us at every turn...? It doesn't matter. I was hoping to avoid this but it seems I have no choice." With that she pulled out a syringe filled with a black and red mixture. "This is the blood of Kor and Mrath, the original Berserker and Behemoth as you would call them." she instructed the group. After telling the components of the liquid she injected it into her neck. She began to chuckle quietly as the blood pumped through her veins, infecting her with a combination none should ever see. Her body twisted and mutated, growing from the power that was suddenly introduced into her frail frame. The same energy that used to emanate from the indestructible yewr could be seen glowing off of her armor. Her intelligence was now completely lost in favor of sheer power.

Nikolai watched in horror as the monstrous beam initially missed the target. Yet, somehow it seemed to still effect the monstrosity, burning out some of the inner workings of the mechanism and causing it's legs to buckle, and let out one last mighty EMP. Nikolai saw Sebastian's jetpack give out from the corner of his eye, and could vaguely see him tumbling to the ground in panic. However, he was sure somebody would be able to stop the descent.

As the head of the monster came apart, he could vaguely see the mangled body of Zero, mutilated beyond belief by the shockwave and the robot's deterioration. He saw Hura, her tall frame still paling in comparison to the others. It was better than 164 feet, though.

She's gone insane Nikolai briefly thought as she struck herself with the blood of both Mrath and Kor, the originals of the two most powerful and animalistic Fraysan species. Her body contorted, twisting around until all of the muscles and power fit into a more stretched out frame. The mercenary could already tell her intelligence was completely gone, left with pure animal instinct.

Nikolai could relate to that. After all of the loss he faced today, there was nothing left but the killing machine from before. And that was what they needed.

"Hey!" Nikolai called, grabbing his revolvers and shooting at the monster's chest, while walking towards the beast of nature slowly. There was nobody else but this Fraysan scum and him now. He didn't care if anyone was looking at him.

More explosions rang through as he shot at the beast's eye.

"Hey, Roid Rage! Stop showing off your muscles and fight!"

Mason let Dante down as soon as the monster started to fall. "Iris, she needs you!" Looking up at Sebastian he noticed him... plummeting. "I gotta go save your boyfriend." He joked. As soon as Nikolai started firing at Hura he ran over to get under Sebastian "Can you please just not almost die once!?!" He telekinetically grabbed at the jet pack, and tried his best to ease Sebastians descent without it being to jerky.

Sebastian tried to control the nose dive he had gotten himself into, the EMP shut off his jet pack and now he found himself dropping from 200 feet in the air. He suddenly felt a sharp jerk up and he felt himself slow down considerably, Mason was trying his best to help. Sebastian put himself in spread eagle posture to create more air resistance, he hoped that it would help. He just needed to get on the ground safely and near the group. The air and g-force still hurt as he fell but he felt like if he hit the floor he wouldn't die. "In my defense!" He attempted to yell back, "You're responsible for me almost dying a few times!"
