There is a new game available on Steam called Unturned. This game is like minecraft, but with different building mechanics, guns and swords. It is mainly a zombie survival game. If anyone wants to play somethime, or owns a server, PM me and we can play sometime. I may attempt to create a SP server.


Also! I believe this game is in Alpha testing stage. So it's free. Once the full version comes out, it will probably cost money. If you download it now, I believe you will receive the full game when it comes out for free.

There is a "Golden" DLC that you can purchase for five dollars at any time. It unlocks premium server access, different faces and skin and hair colors for you character.

I downloaded it like a week and a half ago but I haven't played it yet. Lemme know if it's any good or if you get a server up and running.

I have played it and it's really fun. Their not done updating it obviously so things will change and more items have been added.

Yeah, I've seen some gameplay on this game and I've gotta say, it looks pretty fun! It's pretty much what happens when Minecraft crosses over with DayZ. I'm thinking about getting the game myself.

I wish they would change some things though. Which they probably will.

For example, the katana sword is the best melee weapon in the game, and I can find it rather easily. Just look in cities or campsites. Additionally, if you find the good campsite (I believe there's two and ones better.), you'll be set for a long time. You can find the pickaxe, a backpack, the katana and the canteen rather easily as well. You can also find canned ham, which at the moment is the best food in the game. I think, huehuehuehue.


EDIT: The pickaxe is required to gather stone and build a house out of it.

Can you tell me what this game does well and what it does differently? I'm so sick of these formulaic sandbox/survival games that do nothing but mix existing games without adding anything. Why would I be compelled to play something that's advertised based on the fact that it's like two games combined? There are so many of these.

This really is a fun game, but believe it or not i have killed over 600 zambo's and 60 players but i have never mined minerals in this game, im only going for the loot grabz and assasinations, it is not really neccecary to mine stuff tho.

true, but i cant affort games like dayz and stomping lands because my pc sucks, minecraft works fine, but updates in minecraft are sooooooo unsatisfying

Well, for the first, it's free right now so that's a plus. Never played DayZ so I don't know if this is in it but their is a meter for hunger, thirst, energy, health and toxicity.

HUNGER: The higher it goes the hungrier to are. Eat food to replenish. Also, I think when at 100%, you slowly die.
THIRST: Same as hunger.
ENERGY: your stamina. How long you can sprint for.
HEALTH: figure it out. Can be replenished by using rags, cloth, bandages etc. Better bandages equal better healing.
TOXICITY: Radioactivity. At 100%, you're dead.

Also, realistic mechanics are also in play. For example. If you jump off a high place, you can break bones, slowing you and making you much more vulnerable. There is also no ban against firing against humans. Like in real life, you can backstab your friend and loot his corpse.


@FL-Nordin: Yes you don't have to build a house, but if you're going for a long-term game, it is as recommended. And I might make a server with my IRL friend. I'm not sure.

I saw roosterteeth uplaod some gameplay. It's certainly not minecraft.

Basically advanced blocky zombie survival. It looks really fun to play with friends.

There was a game called Rust that was available for Beta. it played like Minecraft in terms of survival but the twist was if you died at any moment, you had to start from scratch. You essentially only had one life, and even more ridiculous was if you logged off, people can just raid your shit if they're powerful enough.

So the community gets into this and the above happens and well, everyone got pissed. so now this community is going to go through the same shit again, and theyre a bit apprehensive

well, no unturned for us then becuase i personally dont build stuff in the first place, but if i see houses/ forts then i am attracted to invade them and assasinate everybody inside...
wich will result in max crying for victem, but then again you can have a pve server and a pvp server, but not sure if it applies for chests tho
