Here's Chapter One for you degenerates.
Let me know if it doesn't work. I hate posting shit in vBulletin because it rapes the format, so I'm hoping I can make this a thing. Please let me know if there's any bugs or anything.
CHAPTER ONE
“What the fuck is this?” Fox leaned back into his wheelchair, resting his chin on his right fist. He scanned the capsule for any markings, but it was completely bare. It was definitely human, but completely unmarked.
“Don’t know, boss. All I know was that it was a bitch to get.” chuckled Arcane, folding his arms onto his chest and nudging Alec. Alec did nothing but slide his hands into his pockets and shrug.
The crew analyzed the capsule, which was about the size of a small crate, yet clearly airproofed. Whatever was inside this capsule was meant to travel in the Vacuum, judging by how fast it was moving when the Wicked Harpoon detected it. In fact, if it hadn’t been for one of the engineers, Julian, it would’ve hit the ship.
“Tina, scan the capsule, if you’d be so kind.” Fox pressed his hands together in front of his nose and pursed his lips.
“Already did, Captain.” Tina, the Wicked Harpoon’s resident Artificial Intelligence, resting her hands on her hips. Judging from the almost over-sexualized nature of her appearance, it was difficult for Fox to take her seriously sometimes. However, it was either in her programming or simply her intelligence that made her almost unaware of her appearance, and quickly became the crew’s medical officer.
“Other than some radiation it picked up in the Vacuum, it’s nothing to be afraid of. Nothing’s seeping out from inside.”
“So it’s safe to open?” Fox lifted an eyebrow in Tina’s direction, who didn’t hesitate with her response.
“Well, it could be full of radiation that would melt the skin right off your bones, if that’s what you’re asking.”
The crew nodded, and Eli Benton, the ship’s merchant, went so far as to shrug and speak.
“I mean, it could be. But then again, it could not be.” Eli looked around, expecting support for his kleptomaniac tendencies. Whatever was inside that capsule was rare, and the only thing that Eli found holier that rare space artifacts were their price tags.
“I fucking hate surprises.” mumbled Issac, running his fingers through his hair. He wasn’t distraught by the capsule, but rather tired, as if whatever horror lied within the container was yet another faulty piston to be mended.
“Mark. Open the capsule.” Sirvier Von Kortig, the First Mate spoke, and looked at Fox for approval, who was tapping his fingers together in ravenous anticipation.
Markose looked at the crew sheepishly, as if he wanted them to step up for him.
“Fuckin’ me?”
“Yes, Mark. I want you to open that goddamn box.”
Mark swallowed and stepped towards the container, frowning as he approached. He mumbled under his breath as he knelt beside the container and began to slide his hand around the black metal, looking for a handle.
Mark looked at Fox, his anxious demeanor bleeding through his posture.
“Markie, listen to Kaiser Kortig. If that thing explodes, we’re all dead anyways.” Fox smiled as he said that, putting Mark at ease.
“—Except me. I’ll be fine.” voiced Tina, smiling coyly as the men chuckled cynically.
Mark sighed and pulled the lip open, jumping back as the capsule depressurized inside the cargo bay. The crew stood with baited breath, and dared not to move as the air whistled through their hair.
Almost immediately, Tina sighed, clearly relieved. The capsule was still smoking, and the men turned to her for answers.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Fox raised his eyebrows and shrugged.
“Mind filling us in, Tina?”
“Yeah.” Tina smiled and shook her head.
“The capsule’s full of Meth.”
The crew laughed and settled down, a few of them dragging in chairs and sitting down around the container. The room grew silent, and the men began to realize the severity of their discovery.
“Well, before anybody asks, I opened the box, so I think I should get the biggest cut.”
Mark shrugged, and looked around to a room full of blank, dissatisfied faces. He bit his lip and crossed his arms, mumbling to himself again.
Eli was the next to speak up, almost sweating from his euphoria.
“You know how much this is worth? I did smack like this in the old country, and I can tell you, this isn’t cheap. I know a station not too far from here, and I can find us a buyer within the hour.”
Sirveir shook his head at Eli, his face painted with annoyance.
“We’re on a delivery, Eli. We’re not going to ditch this job because we found some space meth.”
“Space Meth? Sirveir, fuck the delivery, man! Who fucking cares about delivering some computers, man!”
Tina walked over to Fox’s wheelchair, the programmed swaying of her hips still attracting the attention from the men. She leaned on Fox’s seat and sighed as the men went back and forth over their newfound treasure.
“Captain, what do you think?”
“Well, somebody’s definitely going to be looking for this, so it’ll be best if we get it off our hands before they catch up to us.”
“Maybe they already did, captain.”
Fox chuckled and shook his head.
“Shut the fuck up, Tina.”
I added the chinese version for you.
