Well how bout a Fun Story that everyone but the noobs can relate to: The Chat Thread.


Contrary to what many noobs believe now, the first post of the Chat Thread used to be a "tagging post" for mods. It's become something of a custom for them to make at least one edit to the first post to mark their lineage and magic ability to edit posts. Cue hilarity.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on who's reading this, the First Chat Post is no longer this way. Earlier this year, Jeff outlawed it to the post that you see today on account that it was 'ugly' and that it wasn't the proper thing to do. Here is the original First Post:



And here is the first official Chat Thread post: "A few years ago an exercise machine snapped in my face and now I have nigger lips from the impact. What should I do?" as spoken by lgolos. Bet that 2nd post doesn't feel too cryptic now, does it?
