Remember the time when Rate the User 2014 was shut down and all Nish cared about was winning and saving all those wonderful circlejerking expressions for himself?

Everyone wanted to be in the circle jerk, let's be honest now.

Remember that time when Hewitt realised all Nish was trying to do was bring back the RTU theead but just lobbying for it in his own way?

The birth and death of Jeus Christ?

Hmmm technically he was crucified on two sticks put together, so it might be Stickpage history.

We should keep it to things that actually happened.

I'm actually writing up on that one, but didnt think anyone would request it.

It's coming.

Yes, a story that was actually pretty funny that doesn't concern any SP oldbies

Oh it happened. And it was hilarious. Note the intentional misspelling.

Remember the time when every member realized, they were also users like Hewitt, and thus everyone could also make their own RTU if they really wanted to

=============

Here it is: Jeus Christ

It all started on October 2012. The Merge had just happened, RHG was in full swing, and SP Oldbies were causing alot of trouble. There were also alot of evil noobs as well and things weren't as settled down as the current Jeff administration yet.

Suddenly this guy appears.

Meet Jeus Christ. He's...our lord and savior who over the years and because of historical mishaps had his name warped to the supposedly erroneous Jesus Christ we know today. Now gimmick accounts weren't new. There've been about 2 more in the past (Rusty Shackelford from King of the Hill and Rorschach from Watchmen) but this was the first and only time an account remained in-character all throughout his stay. He wasn't intentionally causing trouble. He even tried his hand at animation and respected the rules when he was infracted. But the way he retained his character and how he dealt with other posts was pretty hilarious.

After awhile, he made his 2nd infamous thread: Ask Jeus and the less famous Confessions Thread, which as you would expect concerned him answering questions about being Jesus and confessing your sins to boot. He would always post in quotes as "~Jeus Christ" as if condescendingly speaking in the third person as a higher power, and for awhile became a source of further hilarity. He even posted in the Chat Thread on occasion.

And then he did something nobody expected. He started animating. He even made an RHG. And yes, he made it with god powers and everyone was all "THATS OP" but he was like "But I'm Jeus." and it was legitimately over-the-top funny. You had a guy who didn't mind that he sucked and actually wanted to learn how to animate, all the while retaining his in-character illusion.

He actually made a few spam threads that weren't funny. But he learned.

http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?43470-New-Holy-Power-clan <-- Imagine this thread being created in the RHG Clan section originally for added hilarity.

We loved this guy. And moreso, as I recall (I wasn't a mod yet at this point), it generated ALOT of hatred towards him. Young mod-to-be's who were noobs at the time like Camila and Xero were going all "HES RUINING STICKPAGE. HES RUINING RELIGION. WHY ISNT HE BANNED." to which the mods replied that he was a harmless bloke who had a sense of humor...something Camila wouldn't find until she became Sectional Mod months later.

Unfortunately, this story doesn't end well as a year later on June 2013, Jeus posted his account details in public, killing off his character. Some idiot took his account and immediately started spamming it, causing a permaban. He was never heard from again nor did he attempt to make a new account.

The spammer even attempted to come back as Anti-Christ but by then the joke was dead. I even recall he came back as Zeus. Ugh.

Anyways, Jeus was the funniest user during the Merge. If RTU existed in 2012 I'd have put him in the Top 10 or something.

I forgot all about that. I remember the intro thread, just don't remember him being around much. I must've just taken leave during most of his stay.

But Nish, you can't finish a game nobody wants to play. Nobody wants to play Score Attack, and nobody wants to fight other users in a forced death battle. They just wanna rate users

Hey, remember when Ashlander was writing the Merge? Whatever happened to that anachronism.

Actually, I can answer that: Ashlander actually came to FA to ask for insights on the FA side of things. What he met was the very passive-aggressive Jessiepinwheel who proceeded to brush him off in the coldest way possible. Ashlander had no idea that unlike SP, FA's Writer's Lounge was actually a more dettached community from its animation counterparts, and so sought no help from them. With that dead end secured, Ashlander's story remained in limbo until it was preserved into the stuffed moose that we see today in his sig.

^Can we put this as an entry Zed?

Here I'll even add an intro paragraph, you can put this above that last one:

"The Merge" was, alongside SPP Defense, one of the 2 popular stories that was supposedly to chronicle The Merge as it happened. You know, as hollywood would have told it. It starred alot of Star players from both SP and FA in what was a typical "the enemy of my enemy is my friend lets join forces" kind of plot. It would have been epic, were it not for one tiny detail: FA's side of the story. Ashlander knew nothing about it and so began the project's demise...

I've thought about just continuing from SPs perspective, but it kinda defies the whole point behind the story. And to be honest I'm too lazy.

I cant believe its already been 2 years since I started that.

I editted my post to include a lil more intro to it, in case Zed wants to put that up as a story. I'm actually pretty psyched this thread exists. I have so many things to tell...or at least I think I do.

What happened with the FA side was that generally everyone was pissed off that FA was closing for SP and total anarchy ensued. Trolls ran rampant and children cried. It was a pretty good time.

Note that at the time, nobody knew that HyunsDojo was coming yet. As soon as it was announced a year after the Merge, people started being complacent about it and on the day it launched, suddenly the very many users from FA that was thought to have disappeared during the Merge and whined about it arose like ghosts to a pyre. They flocked to The Dojo as "FA 2.0" and haven't left ever since.

No no we all know what happened. The problem was figuring out who the big FA guys were, what roles they played in the FA community, relationships with other members, personal opinions on the merge, FA inside jokes, etc.

Best I could help with right now is this:
https://web.archive.org/web/20120513211903/http://www.fluidanims.com/FAelite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=35076

should give some information about some stuff back on FA(?)
