permabanned?

People ask this like every time someone gets banned.

Unless they did something real fucked up a perma ban isn't going to be handed out.

Yes grid. That's exactly what happened. Like the other 999 times someone got banned around here.

Nevermind the fact that Permas are actually announced in this thread by mods beforehand as soon as the Perma happens, or that this thread has a Infraction Overload rate of 95%. No, I just HAVE to know again why this guy was banned and was it forever, because that piece of information is so juicy and exciting and you never know MAYBE he's permabanned but the mods didn't want people to know about it.

unless they multi-accounted, which isn't necessarily something we would announce despite what Hewitt is saying.

"isn't necessarily" is the word here. Didn't Jeff come by to announce Shadowolf's imprisonment for vote brigading with multis? I mean wasn't the original purpose of this thread to notify of the public of the more high-profile bans? I mean the only reason i can think of not announcing a Perma for multi-ing is if he was a bot, the threat was prevented, or it was on a need to know basis as only 1 or 2 users were affected.

Also, I am talking in the context of what made grid come here in the first place. He's hanging out with his buddies down there in the RHG section, suddenly. Ban. The first thing he assumes is OMG CAN ONLY BE A PERMA NOTHING ELSE. And he comes here to ask confirmation. The irony is that the previous topic of the day was him so he should have known that the chances it was a perma was slim, I dunno. Does that make sense? If he was banned for an overload, can he not also just assume that flashpoint---a low-post newbie---also got banned for the same newbie reasons?

He was banned for personal reasons. While it is not permanent, don't expect to see him around any time soon.

This, yeah. We try not to go around giving details because, ya know, privacy and all that. It'd be rude.

It's probably because of exam season again. He asked to be banned like that before as well.
