I didn't get the point of that either. I just re-read it and I think I get it now but if I do it's just barely.

No, of course not. Because this is your version of arguing.

Quote from '[Constant
;1243197']Hush, you.

You just shut everything out, and choose the statements that apply to you the most. Then you repeat your mantra as if that was your argument and we're expected to swallow it no questions asked. Allow me to educate for Rokon's sake. What I just demonstrated was a similar statement that [Constant] had just made:

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867']Does everyone honestly think I came up with this on a whim? I'm not 12, and I've organized more than a few multi-person projects before (excluding one on DarkDemon they just weren't animation related usually). I'm not new to this. YES, you want to see some animation proof, YES, I'm not very established (although I kinda used to be on FA), NO, I am not new to animating or Flash or community projects. I've been forming this idea for an extremely long time, and I'm going make it, even if I have to make the entire first season myself before people decide they want to join. I'm not going to pay people to help (YET), I expected people to be interested, but I didn't expect people to want to actually join until I had a promo video or two released (and they are coming along nicely).

Similarly to my Skateboarding statement, I can talk shit about how awesome I am all day and pretend that that's going to be of some merit, but at the end of the day if people don't see anything I've done, they're not going to ride it out. So, while we understand your tl;dr up there as you have already mentioned since the first post, nobody is going to take you seriously because you're being a pretentious know-it-all with nothing under his belt.

I'm not saying you legitimately talk shit. You might actually have something. But all we are seeing is a new guy with less than a hundred posts who's quite the daydreamer with nothing to show for. How dare you presume that you're the only one to come up with such an idea. Nobody cares about that. We've been in this place way longer to know what it takes to launch something like this and our collective opinions are not baseless disses, but caused by observations and experiences in animating around here.

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867']Firstly, you must not know how most internet communities work.

I like how you just jump from this point to another without so much as logical momentum. Do YOU know how internet communities work? Enlighten us.

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867']I already have all the people you first mentioned excluding the animators who want to help with this project. They're not demanding money. Why would they? They like the idea so they want to be a part of it!

If they aren't animating, then they're just ideamen (people who talk about what they wanna see) or moneymen (people who fund your project). Without animators you have nothing. So you have nothing.

I wanna be a part of it too. I got tons of ideas and promotional methods. Drone has tons of ideas too. Sign us up. Does that help you AT ALL?

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867']Honestly I would love the idea of marketing and selling this show on DVD's if it got popular enough in some years (similar to RvB), but I'm not aiming that high yet.

If your first thought about this idea was even remotely connected to making money then you've lost. Stick Animation is a niche hobby. No one short of CJ is ever going to profit on it on a large scale like that. You're starting your project off for all the wrong reasons.

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867']Honestly I figured people would think it's cool to have their RHG in a story-driven show (especially since people enjoy writing five-thousand-word-long bios about their gladiator.....)

Then you know nothing about your consumers. Kids watch RHGs because they love the battles. They could care less about the story and even if they did, it shouldn't be the focus of the craft. The story is a secondary effect. You can argue that that part of RHG-ing is a potential market, but you have to realize that most of the kids that start RHG-ing, often end up not using their stories at all, even the ones who LOVE to write their bios like Anubis for one.

In addition, multiple minds in charge of a story together is not just a headache, but an impossible feat. For more info, check out Comic Brawl (sorry SK, but it's true). That project is an attempt to storify multiple RHG personalities in a single medium and with everyone at the helm, it is hard to organize a single legitimate feasible thought that can be presented properly. And let's not even talk about the differing deteriorating quality between users.

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867'](Also, who said I had to have people with years of experience??)

If all you're picking are noobs and one-shots, for a project who's endgoal is to make DVDs then you're just going to become the next Tim Buckley. For something like this, you should be going professional or somewhat decent. But that once again goes back to the original argument of "so what have you to show for it other than words and imaginary merits"?

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867'](Also also, I know how long it takes to animate. And I know that the figure you gave me is based off of one person animating. Multiple people makes an enormous difference.)

Multiple people animating is still the same person times 50. It's not like they all try to pitch in the same fucking canvas. It's like you don't even know how traditional animation works.

Quote from '[Constant
;1242867'](Also also also, why do you assumed that people have to animate 4 minutes at a time? Maybe I'll only need 50 seconds every other three episodes.)

Ohmygod. That's it. I give up. I wanna believe that you know what you're talking about. But it's like, you don't even know how collaborative animating works based on the statements above and based on this. No wonder you have such a doe-eyed proposal.

Oh and btw, please don't bother replying until you have managed to deliver your initial promise:

It has been what, a week since you made this thread? Where is this thing "you've been working on" that's suppose to turn the tide on this argument.

Quite well, actually. I'm working on an RHG battle for the first episode (the first episode will probably only include my RHG and the one I'm fighting; after the first episode I may have more people wanting to join), the promo, and the soundtrack, which is also coming along quite well.

Next time, if you want to keep the faith; how about giving out some teasers?
I mean, post some screenshots of your workspace periodically as proof that you're still alive. Even if it spoils the surprise, at least we know it'll come.
