Just got their current album "Rising Down" and decided to download the whole discography including their debut album "Organix", "The Tipping Point", and Phrenology. I love their jazzy feel and it's pretty sweet seeing them live since they play all their instruments.

Anyone else into them?

Yeah The Roots are great. Things Fall Apart used to be one of my favorite hip hop albums. Illadelph Halflife is great too.

Yeah, Things Fall Apart is awesome. I'm probably going to get Game Theory over the weekend.

After seeing this thread, I went and got the Rising Down. They use a lot more synths and it had a different sound than most of their other albums that I've heard but it's got some sick tracks on it.

Another one of the reasons The Roots are amazing:
Lost generation, fast paced nation
World population confront they frustration
The principles of true hip-hop have been forsaken
It's all contractual and about money makin
Pretend-to-be cats don't seem to know they limitation
Exact replication and false representation
You wanna be a man, then stand your own
To MC requires skills, I demand some shown
