Yeah, I tried searching for all the threads I posted, too. I just think it's older than the oldest thread retrieved with the search. And I'm pretty sure it was called something along the lines of "Is American Idol rigged?" (or at least the words "American Idol" appear in the title).

Searched all the forums for that and I haven't found anything from you.

I really think I made the post in 2007 or early 2008. Do threads, when old enough, get purged? Or is there some record of threads that old somewhere?

EDIT: It appears the earliest thread made by me that I can access via search was created on 04-12-2008 at 12:09 PM. There's nothing older. Was 2007 purged or is there some weird limit I don't know about?

I searched all my threads and I found some from 2007. Maybe there's a limit to how far back a thread is searched.

Yeah a portable computer that will eventually run out of battery. Cant even dream to match the power of a computer or even be within a sane price range. Plus, if it breaks down you're pretty much ****ed through the uretha whereas with a computer if you even have a little bit of computer knowledge you can take a crack at fixing it. Plus, oh sure its portable but unless you're paying out the ass for satellite internet you wont have internet everywhere unless you live in a hotbed of unprotected wifi spots and the internet is mostly the reason to use a computer anyway.

I dunno about you but I'm not willing to sacrifice all that just for portability. Which to me translates into the ability to take your computer to places where it will most likely get dropped and broken.

Honestly? A computer. But I use laptops for portability

I've noticed that a lot of threads have dispersed now that the forums have been upgraded.
