View Profile Oh I don't have a problem watching shit with fanservice in it with her. I just generally find things with fanservice don't hold my attention because I'm more interested in plot and character development rather than what some chick looks like without clothes (I got over that phase when I was in highschool). For example I cannot watch Highschool Of The Dead partly because of how much fucking fanservice there is. As long as the fanservice doesn't outweigh the plot and characters I have no problems.
Also am I supposed to be able to read the shit that appears on screen? I kind of feel retarded because I just get a flash of it and I wasn't able to read anything before it vanished. So far though it's really fucking stylistic and pretty, which I like. The way it's presented is enjoyable, despite the quick cuts. I just want to make sure that I'm going to be able to understand the plot and not be 3 episodes in and realize that I don't fucking know what the shit is going on.
oooohhhh, okay. Bakemonogatari is not a fanservice anime. The main focus is the dialogue/banter between characters, which I find witty and hilarious.
You don't need to read the text flashes, although I did choose to read them the first time I watched it. They're mostly excerpts from the novel, copy and pasted. It's more of a stylistic thing.

All great anime, but nothing compares to Gundum Wing. I watched every episode of that series so many times.

The last time I watched Gundam was when I was like seven. I've never had any interest in mecha.

It makes me so sad that they dropped FMA,
Highschool of the Dead was not complete garbage it was just too sexy and they came too many buckets.

View Profile I watched the first episode of soul eater on Netflix with some company the other night. I can't say I liked it. The premise that the one annoying asshole who's constantly slurping IS a scythe seems kind of silly to me. Like in Digimon when they decided that the tamers ARE the digimon now. I'm not sure why that kind of concept bothers me, it just seems like a strange plot device. Also the the father of that one chick was annoying as shit, and the cat-witch thing bathing was pointless. Does the series get better? Because if so I might keep watching. Otherwise pass.
