Do naps really help some people feel more rested? I just took one and I don't feel any less exhausted.

naps tend to fuck with your sleeping cycle if taken for too long
i think at max you're only supposed to have a one hour nap

Every time I take a nap it goes from like 5-8 pm, and then I feel really tired and just want to go to bed.

I only ever take a nap if im just dead bored. And its usually only for like an hour later in the day. Then i wake up and im all out of sorts and confused as to weather its still the same day and what time it is.

your sleep cycle needs to adjust to naps for them to be effective.

eg. instead of sleeping 8 hours, you could sleep 6 hours and then have a 1 hour afternoon nap. your body adjusts so that when you nap you go straight to REM sleep and then you end up being able to sleep less hours total. the more naps you have the more time you can save, eventually you end up going uberman sleep schedule.
