Today I got a detention for this:

We were talking about this one chick in our grade who is an amazing gymnast and is probably going to the Olympics. Some idiot asked if she went to the London games. And I said, "You're only allowed to participate under age 16 if you're asian"

Everyone laughed.

Who cares. I still want to make my point that the guy who said that, I think it was theriser, is a complete and utter disgrace to humanity.

EDIT: And in his signature it says "I am muslim but I also believe in jesus" What the hell does that even mean? It has been proven that Jesus was a real person, and he did live on this earth, so you have to believe in him. If he wants to be an attention whore like that he might as well make it clear what he is saying.

which is why we should deal with them the way they used to deal with faggots like me back in the day.

Flame them until they cry themselves to sleep and do so continually until they throw a tantrum and leave, or wake up one day without the massive dick of entitlement shoved up their ass and learn to speak when spoken to.

I can't explain it, and maybe you olderfags can help, but I can't help but look at 90% of these threads with disgust at the immaturity and general fucking idiocy on these forums. I wish people put more effort into posting instead of steamrolling everything and expecting others to appreciate it.

But alas, nothing will happen.

this is the only post on stickpage in a while that I've actually thought "ugh, fuck this asshat" after reading. kids posting like kids and having fun doing so is harmless and it's their site anyway; stop trying to stir up shit.

That's why I said I can't explain it. Am I just supposed to accept it and go with it?

Were you talking about the part you bolded? Because it is true. There isn't proof that he was the savior and whatnot, that's still just a belief, but there was a man named Jesus who lived wherever he lived and whatnot.

Please save us both a great deal of grief and drop the subject.

Well by "believe" I just meant believe he walked the earth, not believe in his religion. That's my fault for wording it wrong. Anyway, let's just drop it.

Damn bro. How was yours compared to others?

Hewitt, please stop. We don't need a religious argument.

is this what you wanted to say: Let's shit on most people here so a small group of elitists can circlejerk again

and if you actually wanted to increase the quality of the forum for everyone, then this is definitely a way to achieve the reverse

Thank you, Hewitt, it's appreciated.

Admittedly, i may be a dick lately, but it's a culmination of stress and lack of sleep, so don't take me too seriously.

But on a serious note, religious arguments are really frowned upon because they tend to drag on for days unnecessarily, and 99% of the time end in a flame war.

no religious debates are stupid any time on the forums but some people enjoy having them. Religion isn't something to be debated unless someone is seeking it out. For example, I've had someone talk to me in private who was genuinely questioning what he had been taught to believe by everyone around him, so him and I had a civil, friendly debate about it, where he raised a bunch of points and questions about the universe and wondered what the scientific explanation was, and I did my best to show him the other side. I may not have been the best person to talk to about it, but I think it still helped him come to terms. If what we talked about still didn't genuinely make sense to him, I'm sure he would have stayed religious, but having a debate like that where he could really try to play devil's advocate probably helped put things into perspective.

Debates on the forum are just close-minded people yelling at other close-minded people and circular logic. Unfortunately, a LOT of the people who enter those threads (even non-religious debates) have 0 regard for the etiquette that comes with the debate section, and often try to play the "majority wins" card, which is completely against the section's spirit (and rules).

Arguing religion is pointless because you most likely won't convince someone to change their mind.

I don't comment on debates that much, I usually feel I don't understand most of it because of my youth, and that commenting a lot of the time would make me look dumb.
