I think the rules need to be edited. Rule number 9 obviously doesn't apply to these forums anymore.
Well, this thread is designed for idle chat about any old thing that pops into your head, and so arguably it follows a slightly different set of rules with respect to what is considered
overly spammy. If this thread was dedicated to something concrete and specific, then we could say that rule is totally applicable because one word/one picture posts don't really contribute to the goal of the thread--they're basically contentless. But idle chat has no goal, other than to alleviate boredom.
Obviously it would be a problem if we had huge walls of the same image or phrase over and over again with no real object regardless of what thread we're in, but I think you could say there was a 'point' to the avatars badly 'shopped over other pictures. And to be fair, Cruel did put his image in spoiler tags as well.
