This is a thread meant for chatting, not spamming. These worthless, barely thought out posts are degrading the thread and I can't see why anyone would want to defend the people doing that. Just because we don't have a single topic pin pointed down to talk about doesn't mean that the thread should be overrun with shit that is literally considered degrading in the rules.
I don't define spam by the number of words the post contains, I've seen Cronos posting numerous one word posts for example, but given their usual comedic value they do not degrade the thread.
But hey, I guess asking for quality over quantity is too much, at least it seems to be in here.

The joke was funny for the first two times, then people started abusing the opportunity to post meaningless memes 'photoshopped' over other peoples avatars. The original joke stopped being funny after the first two pics, and it had pretty much ran out of creativity by then too. Spoiler or no spoiler the whole purpose of Cruel's post was to post that image which makes the post in turn degrading to the thread.

eh, i wouldn't be surprised if that happened evenually, but as it is our groups of friends are pretty tight-knit. even people in our circle who have had rough break ups have ended up being friends again in the end.

we are both too logical to make a big deal out of it.

i think it would be nice to meet people at uni anyway. a hippie girlfriend might be nice hah
