I keep him at arm's length but I try not to cut off ties completely with anyone. You might not know when you might need someone through connections to be very honest. It's more of a strategic thing. And honestly I feel bad for him cause he's such a lost soul. I'm there for him when bad shit happens but he knows the deal.

Sorry for jumping in your business lolabear, but from personal experience when guys want to stay friends with ex's it's usually for benefits or with the hope of one day getting back together. Sure that doesn't apt to everyone but it's definitely the majority. I know I don't know your life but don't do anything silly :p
