Yeah. I think the biggest problem I have with liberals is that they feel it is a country's duty to force-feed education to it's citizens. Thats goes against the pioneering, self-motivating spirit of what made American great.
In countries in Asia and Africa, there are kids who WANT to learn, who work their butts off who simply just don't have the right resources or the right infrastructure to get a right education. In America, in most cases, if you really work your ass off for a good education, you will get it. Thats how the whole stereotype that Asians are really smart came about in America anyway. Its not that these Asian kids are any smarter, its just that its part of the culture to try harder.
No, but it's going through some serious growing pains that could turn into some pretty embarrassing puberty problems.
The point I'm trying to make with the metaphor is, young country.
Not as young as one would think. A young society, for sure. But actually older than many countries who became free of British rule only after World War 2.
