Except the moderators have been actively engaged in the conversation as well? Why try to bring their attention somewhere where they already are presently active and can see people's frustration with what's going on. It's not so much elitism as it is trying to raise a better community. All we're doing is trying to help them with some forum etiquette and teach them some social skills on the internet.
