Watched the Microsoft E3 conference.

XBOX ONE PRICE:

$499 for Americans
429 pounds for British (ie. about $660)
499 euros for Europe (ie. about $660)
Probably about $800 for Australians.

And the damn American IGN staff still complains. I would never buy this console, but I am getting real tired of this shit. The Australian dollar is worth more than the American dollar, yet I am expected to pay several hundred dollars more?

edit: it's 0.95c USD right now, but that changes little. $200-$300 price gap is unjustified.

All I am hearing is "errmagerd $499 is so expensive".

Pretty sure the PS3 launched in Australia at around $900-$1000. We get solidly fucked over with absolutely everything. I bought an EVGA GTX780 last week for $750. It's $650 for Americans, and most places either won't ship to Australia, or they will charge you $100+ for shipping. It's ridiculous.
