I don't understand how they dare cut 800.000 people out of their jobs without touching the military.
Unless they really do want to make this country into a police state, in which case their plan seems to be working out pretty well.

Presumably their argument would be that cutting down on uniformed military personnel puts lives at risk. 400,000 of the people affected work for the defense [sic] department - they just aren't soldiers.

In any case, your system is ridiculous.

I believe if youre in a position where you can let the government shut down and put people out of work, then you have a responsibility to not let that happen.

Hey guys, I've got a physics/engineering question for you

Right now I'm building a small windmill with students as a college project. Long story short, I'm in charging of all the math behind energy conversion.

Now I know how to calculate the kinetic rotational energy based on the length of the windmill's blades and now I'm supposed to convert those to electrical energy.

However, isn't it true that, ignoring some heat, all the kinetic energy would be outputted to electrical energy, no matter the type of dynamo we use because of the whole principle of conservation of energy?

This is the last bit I need to figure out and google isn't helping right now.

nope, friction takes a big chunk out of a windmill's efficiency.
