Eh, I don't even know where to start but there are things I can say about Filipino:
-The prefixes/suffixes system WILL screw you over.
-It's very phonetic, but since you're in S.E. asia, I'm sure you understand it.
-I forgot my third point.

I believe it`s allowed. Hewitt`s right: it`s the chat thread, after all. We`re just chatting. As I think, the only rules that might be valuble here is not to be rude and not to interrupt other members too much. But different people have different opinions, so there is a part of community that will be annoyed by spammy messages here.
That`s why I suggested creating another thread with more strict rules. But I still don`t know if that is a good idea.

And what it would do? I think it would do much more damage to create a thread for noobs, because pretty sure a lot of them would be banned for inconsistent posting.

The solution is actually quite simple. Double-think before you post. That's all there is.
Unless, there's someone like harvie who actually wanted to troll...

Also, in Philippines, we only speak 5 vowels.
While y'all have more than 7.

That's not much of a problem. My country only have 5 vowels. A, I, U, E, O.
I'm pretty sure you can learn the others easily.

IDK what it would do. Cannot be sure about that. But I don`t think there are a lot of people that are stupid enough to post sincerely spammy messages in a thread with "NO SPAM ALLOWED" in title, you know.

You`re right. Double-think before you post.
But anyway, don`t be too picky and don`t be too harsh on newcomers. There are different opinions, and the thing you think is spam might be a normal message for a newbie. I hope you get what I mean, lol...

Unless of course, they are completely new to the concept of spammy posts in a conversation thread.

The most important lesson many newbies learn the hard way.

Of course, that's why I'm here. Then again, some of the vets do try to help in the guise of harshness; at the same time it works as a test of maturity: if you can take jokes and sarcasm, you're mature enough to avoid spamming (at least frequently).

It's a long and shaky road for them but they'll pull through. (most of the time)

Oh lol. It looks like it`s me who is too picky now. After sss and Gyohdon were banned, we lost an alive illustration of how mean people can be to the newbies. At least, it worked that way for me >3<

It is true, jokes/sarcasm is a good thing sometimes. But obviously it`s not an excuse for purposefully insulting new members.
