Quote from Apex-PredatorI like the documentaries narrated by David Attenborough.
His work is always gold. I mean he is the narrator of Planet Earth after all and I've made my feelings on that quite clear.
Quote from RosieThank. You.
This is also why when you see people attempting to parody it, it's almost never funny. It's a humor and a charm you can't willingly recreate, and actually trying to do it doesn't work as well.
There's a pretty big difference between something that's intended to be funny, and something that's not supposed to be funny but still is. It's something a lot of people don't really understand.
It goes back to that old adage about how a man who is wearing a silly hat is only funny if he doesn't know that his hat is silly. When Conan the Barbarian was announced in the early 80s, Mattel was commissioned by Dino De Lautinitis (perhaps the most influential film producer of the 80s) to create Conan toys. But when the director John Milius turned in the first cut, it became quite obvious that the movie was NOT even remotely child-friendly (too much nudity, sex and violence) so the deal was scrapped. Mattel scrambled around and put out a makeshift mythology, dyed the colors of the characters and made a story around the toy molds that they had made. Thus He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was born. It was a plan B from the very beginning.
Quote from ZedBBC news is generally very good in terms of impartiality and accuracy. They just come across as a bit patronising sometimes, especially if the story involves the internet in any way.
When I asked about whether the same people were involved, it was more a question of whether the same attention is paid to the news that is paid to the documentaries. But yeah I guess news stories involving the internet is a hard step for most new corporations to make.
Quote from deviThough it was extremely surprising when scientists announced that all dinosaurs had feathers.
Not all of them. Just a lot of them.
