I have to agree that ssosmeify's example is irrelevant.

Just like how Drone's point is irrelevant.

Yeah, I don't really get the funny side of autism, because I think it really isn't.

Homeschooling has its positive and negative sides like regular schools, particularly from the place where the studying activity is done. But it's not really a criteria to determine whether or not they're autistic .-.
I had a course mate once who was homeschooling, and amazingly she got her ranks good for main subjects (like math, languages, and science) and somehow also mantained a good relationship among her peers too.

Yeah it jsut seems to me that Cook pulled the autism card because it's like a staple around old members. Even the joke was far-reaching for ssosmeify to actually get it. And don't tell me Drone that you actually got that joke in the first place

Here I thought it was a joke about how autism isn't contagious, so you weren't able to just "get" it. I almost did a secondary joke, where I'd planned to say "just like ebola." In the actual context of the matter, I don't find it funny either.

Actually sss was the one who made the joke.

and Drone I don't think the joke is rude cause its towards me. if it's making fun of a mental problem or disorder then I take it as rude to make fun of people for it.

If you can be offended by a joke then you don't get the point of jokes

But cook was the one who explained it, so he also codified the joke as if it was a thing.

The Drone school of joking requires one to be absolutely negative about everything.

Did you even read the thread? Nobody is getting offended. We're just discussing the weight of autism jokes and their relevance to homeschooling, and its negative implications towards real autistic people.
