that's pretty wack, man. weren't you worried about rubbing your dick on a fetus

I'd have to penetrate the cervix to do that. I'm not THAT big.

Anyway, fuck, -10? I am just getting used to the cold in Ohio after moving in October from muggy and hot North Carolina. I think it may get down below zero at some point, but not till later in the winter. Wind chill from lake Erie is a bitch, though.

this is such a strange way to introduce people to a community where the average age is 15 and most discussions revolve around anime, video games and how stupid we think religion is.

er, I mean, welcome to stickpage

Learn with me stick page. Micheal Jackson pioneered dubstep, don't believe me do you? I bet you raised an eyebrow and jaw jerked when you read that, maybe with an audible "tch". It's okay if you don't believe me, you'll understand soon enough. So, shhhhhhhhhhh, just let it happen.

As you can tell this is heartbreaker by Micheal Jackson, from his Invincible album. Costing 30 million dollars to produce it was the most expensive album ever produced at the time. Reserve your judgment until you've listened to the entire song, it's catchy and unlike most dub step actually has music talent and logical beat progression involved. So sit back and enjoy.

Naturally it's not identical to the current form of the genre, much like most of Micheal Jacksons forward looking work. The man was the greatest and first pop star. It stands to reason that a song produced over a decade prior to the explosion of the genre, before the genre was even named wouldn't sound exactly the same. But the parallels cannot be denied.

It's interesting since at it's time it wasn't received well or even recognized for what it was, since the genre was yet to exist. The negative reception can be seen in reviews like this one from 2001, the same year the album was released.

His other voice is the staccato Mr. Jackson, the percussive genius who oversees startling rhythm tracks and breaks up his singing with grunts and breaths and yelps. He chants the generic complaints of ''Heartbreaker,'' a collaboration with the producer Rodney Jerkins and others, against a rhythm track of electronic noises that ratchet and sputter like a truckload of joy buzzers on a rough road. But other uptempo tracks sound stale and airless.

The irony is that when you compare it to modern reviews of popular dubstep artists like skrillex that praise the exact stylings that they condemned Micheal for before.

Quote from Snippet
Skrillex’s music rarely deals in atmospheric buildups and gradual payoffs; it’s about immediate momentum. His mixes, and his D.J. sets, are often heaving, swerving, murk-free assaults, something like video-game shootouts among zaps of distorted bass, jabs of klaxon-like midrange synthesizers and cartoonishly wobbling “wubba wubba” interjections below.

Even more fascinating is when you realize that the critic in both of these reviews are the same exact person.

But the purpose of this post isn't to expose the folly of journalism. It's for educational purposes.
Micheal Jackson was a pioneer of dubstep and it was actually pretty good.

Michael Jackson was a pioneer in child sex

your citations are fucky, nigga.

I wouldn't say he's a pioneer of dubstep. Drums over a synthetic beat don't really make it dubstep. This is techno, really.
