They do, actually. Africa isn't exactly the most peaceful place on the planet. It's been a mess of war and slavery since the first humans walked on it. Then again, humans do that everywhere. Then they see, say China or anyone else doing it and and think something along the lines of "wow, look at those gooks, they're horrible and violent people" without realizing their community does it too only slightly differently.
